0,5 l bottle BB 25. May 13 First impression: Looks like a Dunkelweizenbier caramel, bread, citrus, banana, clove, dark orange / almost red-brown color, cloudy, frothy, white foam, medium sweetness, medium body, creamy, slick feel, average carbonation,

Almost looks like a dunkelweisse based on color, but pours beautifully, with thick fluffy head. Aroma is sweet and bready. Taste is also sweet (and slightly sour), hints of citrus, sourdough, and a little acidic. Vey complex weizen here, must try to really enjoy...

A hazy dark amber with a huge floffy tan head - looks more like a urweize. Aroma is malty, hoppy and mildly yeasty with some banana. Flavor is sweet wheaty with notes of yeast. Nice complex weisse

0.5 l bottle, Marburg. Quite light (4.8 %), but absolutely not watery... Perfectly smooth and refreshing...

Thank you, Julia Dubowy for bringing this back from your recent trip to Germany. Slightly hazy dark amber with a long 1/4" head cover and dots of lace. Taste begins with spicy caramel malt, particularly picking up cloves, coriander, and maybe a little ginger. It grows nicely through the palate, finishing with mild hops and carbonation. Unique and tasty, although I’d not want it every day. Recommended.

Test vom 18.11.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,12,15,13,10,12 - 12,50

Felt like it I hadn’t tried many hefes recently when I picked this one up. So I checked - holy smokes, this is my 4th new hefe in the past 3 years! People just aren’t messing around with this style enough. Too bad. In any case, this one pours a light amber, almost like it has ambitions of being a dunked, with the typical nice big head. Aroma is pleasant - wheat, clove, banana. Oddly enough, the aromas seem to become actually less pronounced as it warms. Flavor is light wheat, faint clove, a bit of banana, just a touch of sourness. On the light bodied side, which is almost surprising with the color. A bit of lingering sweetness. Not bad, but not the best either. Still happy to try a new hefe.

One of the best German wheatbeers I had, easily comparable to the great beers from Schneider Weisse brewery !

Orangebrun lätt grumlig öl med vitt skum. Inte så kraftigt som på många Weissbier. En blommig doft tillsammans med banan och jäst. Samma i smaken. En ganska klassisk weissbier.

Bottle shared with McTapps. One of the more worse Weizen of my life. Crappy colour and simple taste. Bad one.
