Ungstrup (11692), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 1, 2005 An unclear dark orange-red with a huge light brown head - looks more like a dunkles weize. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet wheaty with notes of caramel, but the body is thin. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 12, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Almost amber golden in colour with an off-white head. Vague aroma with only a little yeasty touch. Sweetish - almost bordering caramel - atop a medium body. The wheaty esters are quite muffled, certainly no citrus or banana sticking out. Not bad as such, just not very interesting either. 110406 omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 2, 2006 [Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm] Cloudy dark amber, rich head. Sweetish with medium body and clean, spritzy mouthfeel. Somewhat citric with notes of rye bread. Fairly low on esters. yespr (7782), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 7, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark and hazy to almost murky brown with a small yet dense and creamy head, light tan. Orange fruity and light milky aroma. Flavour is fruity, of oranges and mild wheaty. Light malt note too. Milky and wheaty/estery finish. Not sure this is intentional and somewhat strange. Oakes (7030), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 22, 2006 Chestnut brown colour. Opaque, with a fluffy head. Spicy, toasty aroma is quite malty and also a bit salty. The body is a bit light. The flavour is a shade saltier than I’d prefer in a beer. Just hints of wheat and toast.
