Sephiroth (65), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Feb 22, 2008 Poured into a tulip, this beer pours a light golden color with a creamy looking, slightly beige head. The nose is fantastic! Lime, along with layers upon layers of spices that I cannot name. There is also a candy smell.
The taste is no letdown. Spiced fruits, namely lime and banana, are the prevailing flavors here. The hops are herbal and serve to clean the sweetness of this beer from the palate. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated, which adds to the spiced quality of this beer. Yet it manages to be slightly creamy at the same time. Drinkability is high, as I will finish the bottle with no problems. This beer has improved noticeably since I first tried it about three months ago. I will continue to age my other sample, as well as seek out about six or seven more.

dalekliz (206), San Diego, California, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle, sampled at RBSG 08. Pours a hazy gold-amber with a white ring. Sweet and spicy aroma, very fruity. Taste is very sweet and refreshing, of crisp, ripe fruit and spices. Lingering fruit and spice flavors. Very tasty. ironchefscott (243), long beach, California, USA Sep 26, 2008 thank you to scott for bringing this to the hophead tasting!
medium gold colored....a bit of straw and yeast on the nose....sweetish finish....ok.....could have been better a year ago? mjfleming23 (21), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 25, 2008 Had this as part of a Unibroue tasting dinner. Poured amber with a small head. Honey and malty tones dominate. Spicy complex flavors that taste very different depending on what you are eating with it. Really went well with a bleu cheese salad. IMO this was tied for best in show in the tasting I did. If you can find this...grab as much as you can. BuckeyeBoy (1181), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 23, 2008 Bottle pours out a cloudy gold topped with a small head. Aroma of "old man with bengay on" ya someone else said it. I was thinking it.Tast of spice and yeast odd one. jake65 (1273), Meridian, Idaho, USA Sep 21, 2008 Bottle: Hazy gold/copper pour with no head. Aroma is very strong; lots of spice, pine, mint, plum, pear, and some giner. A hint medicinal. Tastes a bit more medicinal with a rough fruitiness. More mint and pear, the ginger plays a stronger role now. A summary would be a hint of vinegar mixed with fruit juice and a sprig of ginger. Still a fun brew, thanks Jeremy for sharing.
