gam (471), brisbane, Australia Jul 26, 2008 Canary yellow pour, thin soft frothy head with good carbonation.Aroma like perfume at first, fresh green apples, clove coriander nutmeg.Flavour mellow a creamy note to the green apple taste, orange note, nutmeg, coriander, this is top tasting, leaves a lovely settling after taste. The clove gives it a good settler.Finish bitter sweet. stefanje (483), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Jul 25, 2008 750 ml bottle from Bev4les. Pours a dark gold color with a small white head that quickly disappears. The aroma is moderately strong with granny smith apples, and thats the best part of this concoction. The taste was weak fizzy apple juice and cardboard. The mouthfeel was a bit light and thin. The finish was short and disappointing. Overall: I’ll pass on this in the future. rscaletta (4), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA does not count Jul 21, 2008 Poured from bottle into pint glass (label kindly instructs that a belgian-style tulip is inappropriate). Pale bright yellow with huge fluffy head that stayed put through the whole drink. Lots of tiny bubbles like champagne. Aroma was mostly tart apple with a little belgian yeast. Excited yet? Taste was a let down. Mostly just tasted "dry." Not much apple, some spice, lots of unibroue yeast. Good, bubbly, refreshing but overall impression leaves me lacking; I was hoping for more! BeerFanDan17 (331), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 21, 2008 Nice and apply ale. Crisp and refreshing. Sampled at the St. Pete Florida Craft Beer Fest. markwise (205), Orlando, Florida, USA Jul 20, 2008 This is an interesting fruit beer. Like most Unibroue beers, it is ultra-carbonated and has a great aroma of Granny Smith Apples. The flavor is ephemeral; the apple is there and then it’s gone just as quickly. It’s good, a nice hot-summer-day beer.
