bsierra (144), Vista, California, USA Jul 9, 2008 750ml bottle I’ve been sitting on for awhile. Pours a hazy gold body with a foamy, pinkish head. Aroma is sour wheat, hay, yeast, and currants. Flavor is nicely done; the currant flavor is not overbearing, it tastes fresh and sweet, like a wheat beer with fruit added. It does have a bit too much carbonation, though, probably cause I’ve had the bottle for soo long. All and all a pretty enjoyable beer, not someting I’d drink very often, but a nice refresher none the less~
kiefdog (325), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 7, 2008 75cl bottle from Beverage Castle (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark watermelon color (pink/red) with a really thin white-pink head. Virtually no lacing on glass. Aroma is strong and fruity with notes of dark ripe fruit, jolly rancher sweetness, ripe red grapes. Flavor is sweet and malty with a tart lambic-like deep cherry flavor. Notes of ripe dark grapes and yeast are present. Similar to apple Ephemere but stronger tasting and more tart. Light to medium-bodied with a sweet, fruity aftertaste. Pwn3d (578), NYC, New York, USA May 17, 2008 Had two 750ml bottles. Pours dark amber but is more of a huey orange with some seeds debris at the end of the bottle, appears slightly florescent with nice lacing. Had in a flute glass. Really enjoyable tart flavor that seemed like a mixture of mandarin, grapes, yeast, and blackberries. Short lasting mouth, has a spritzer feel to it like many other Unibroues. I agree with JRedmond... far better than Apple.. not quite as good as Cranberry. jredmond (587), New Jersey, USA Mar 16, 2008 Updated: Jun 29, 2008750mL bottle. The beer poured a darkish orange hazy body. The aroma is fruit - maybe some grapes - and juice. The taste is great like the other ephemeres - better than the apple, but not quite as good as the cranberry. Great beer. Davinci (258), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 11, 2008 Updated: Apr 21, 2008Like the others in the Ephemere series, this is a very enjoyable fruit beer. The combination of fruit, wheat, and yeast all come together to form a wonderful brew.
