walleye (817), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Jun 14, 2007 from the caged and corked bottle. poured a cloudy golden with a fluffy white head. aroma sour berries, yeast , some sugar, than the got a whiff of cherries. flavor this reminded me of a wine cooler with the berry flavors and a hint of alcohol and a nice kick of wheat. this beer hit the spot I was hot and tired when I got home this just might be my hot summer day beer and at 3.99 I think it is a good buy.
LawStudent09 (315), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 26, 2008 Cloudy yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma of childrens vitamins. Fizzy body/mouth feel. Hint of mint with the cranberry coming through in the finish. Skyview (2777), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jun 26, 2008 Sampled during Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Wednesday evening tasting via Unibroue representative. Pours a hazy golden blonde amber brew with a thick off-white head that has some nice retention. Aroma of tart red berries, some coriander, light multi-grain malt and a touch of yeast. Taste is slightly tart, medium bodied with some carbonation and flavors of apples and cranberries, yeast and multi-grain malt. Finish remains slightly tart with a light yeast and coriander aftertaste. Starting to get close to a lambic style beer. jeffwilliams11 (251), hooterville, Michigan, USA Jun 21, 2008 bottle marked 9-28-07. pours very pale straw color with small head. ery cidery aroma and flavor. slight cranberry backtaste, but mostly a very good cider. Dezzilu (169), Versailles, France May 31, 2008 I had no idea I was drinking a ’retired’ beer. Wow, I wish I had gone a little more slowly. This is one damn fine beer: take the best attributes of a white beer and add a mild fruit flavor that resonates on the palette - that is this beer. The cranberry aroma had me concerned at first blush, but the aftertaste was just plain yummy. I wish I had bought more then just one 750ml bottle. Cheers. CanIHave4Beers (171), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Apr 29, 2008 It’s a nice enough beer. My wife loves it, and she has very good beer taste. One thing that is very Plesant about this beer is that it is not particularly sweet, or fruity. But has the faint fruit flavors just a bit stronger than those in a good lambic. Now for the bad news, this alwasy seems a little watery and a little too smooth. It seems to be a "girl beer", I’ve always felt like this was a rediculous but existing distinction in beer, so with that said.... it’s a pretty good "girl beer"
