Commercial Description:
Launched to celebrate Unibroue's 11th Anniversary, 11 has a rich aroma reminiscent of ripe fruit and fig, and is accompanied by a delicate spicy after note. The taste is complex and its body more than generous. This unique strong beer is warm and intriguing whilst remaining smooth and delicate. With its 11% Alcohol, "11" is the highest alcohol content beer in Quebec. Produced in limited quantity and sold for a very minimal price for its quality, only about 6000 cases of this special brew will be sold.

Hazy golden-yellow, familiar sweet/spice/yeast belgian nose. A decent belgian gold, distinctive dry finish. Obvious comparsion to me is Norht Coast Pranqster, which I prefer.

Orangey gold appearance, good head that faded more than I was expecting. The aroma was strongly of Belgian yeast, with some spicy hops. Taste was very nice, strong notes of orange marmalade fading into a dry, spicy finish. The yeast, so prevalent in the nose, is not nearly as overstated in the mouth. A very well done golden from Unibroue.

Hazy golden hue with small head and good lacing. Aroma hinted of ripe and fleshy fruits, spices, roasted malts, pumpernickel bread, and twangy yeast. Started very fruity sweet with a spicy undertone, palate was refreshed by the alcoholic presence and some hoppy bite. Finish was wierd, dry yet lingering spices. Medium to full-bodied with a lush and soft mouthfeel. Moderate alcoholic feel which does intensify as the beer warms up. A very good version of a Belgian Tripel, worth laying out the cash again.

An excellent beer. Pours our to a bright golden, yellow in the glass with a generous head. Tons of small bubbles rise to the top and give this beer a fresh and very appeasing look. (Did I just type appeasing...LOL). Aroma is that of banana and spices and definetely sets you up for the first drink. Taste is that of slight spice and beer goodness. It even tickles the taste buds. Seriously. This is a wonderful beer. The ABV is well hidden.

Sweet, fruity aroma. Small head that dissipates into tightly bubbled lacing. Orange/yellow appearance; cloudy. Very tripel aroma and flavor. Sweet, yeasty, and a nice buzz on my tongue on the finish. Slight fruity flavors come out as it warms. Did they put banana-bread chunks in this? A little too sweet for me...my girlfriend would love this! Spicy flavors too; Recommended.

Im curious to see what all these micros will be brewing to celebrate their 20th and 25th anniversaries of they continue the "ABV=years in existence" idea. I do not believe this beer is really 11%, I didnt get more than 8.5% out of it. A delicious beer besides the ABV talk. Lots of yeast from top to bottom with sweet banana edges, slightly acidic in the finish....yum!

LOL Andrew. Good one! I think you folks are all missing the point!!! Last year they came out with a 10(10%) to celebrate their 10th anniversary. This year it's 11%. These guys at Unibroue KICK!!! Where can you get that much punch in one bottle this side of the Atlantic (ie. an ocean away from the true land of beers, Belguim)?

Hazy deep blond color, poor head retention. Good aroma, malty and with some honey. The body strength and the carbonation are very good, even after so many years; dry malt flavor, evident alcohol warmth, correct bitterness. Interesting and pleasant; it kept up very well with the age.

Hazy blond color, big head. Tripel aroma, malty, dry, spicy, oranges. The flavor improves while oxydizing; round, malty, some fruitness, well balanced (sweetness and bitterness; low alcohol perception). Another good one by Unibroue, but just slightly different from the others.
