Flwvor was 'Zingy' and light with citrus overtones. This will be much better with age, which is why I've stored several bottles away. roomtempbeer (185), Franklin, Pennsylvania, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Jul 23, 2003 Beer pours (in Chimay glass) an applejuice (piss, read 'urine)-golden color with salt water foamy white head. Aroma is of straw, grass, vegetal. Flavor is a slighty dry, strong alcohol with straw, grass, vegetal ending. Beer is a drainpour. Just nothing exceptional about this one. Sampled at 71 degrees Fahrenheit. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2003 750 ml. corked & caged bottle. No freshness date. A 2-3 is seen on the cork. Poured out a lemony yellow, with tons of frothy white, meringue like head on it. Slowly faded to a thick lacing on the surface. Aromas of fresh cut hay, yeasty bread, solventy alcohols, and some fruit, way off in the background. Tastes fruity at first, most likely from fermentation esters. Not much bitterness from the hops. Finishes sweet. Coats the tongue, but only slightly. Has a slick, oily mouthfeel to it. Has a funny, undescribable taste to it also. I just can't put my finger on it, but it's there all the same. A good buy at $7.00 USD each. TheBeerGod (3177), Newport News, Virginia, USA

Pours a blond body with a whitish but fluffy head. Nose is a crisp yeast and wheat but with some spice and malt. The body has a prickly feel to it from the carbonation and has a rich spicy tongue to it. Another great Unibroue beer! tomseaman (35), Alpine, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 18, 2003 Light golder color on the pour, good amount of head that faded fairly quickly. Citrus, apple, and spice on the aroma. A touch of sweetness, quite a bit of citrus before the alcohol comes in and crashes the party. Very pleasant beer, although the alchohol just slightly overwhelms the other flavors. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA

Somewhat mellow (i.e., smooth) flavor but with evident alcohol. Some sweetness, some citrus, some spice. Rastacouere (5566), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

It smells yeasts more than anything else with some spices and fruits in back scene. Complex taste. You know you're on something serious when you take the first sip, the malt owns a kingdom well kept in heat by the legendary guard that is alcohol.
