Golden hazy appearance, not very aromatic. A spicy pear flavor which went down very smooth.

750 ml bottle. Pours a yellowish-golden. Active carbonation gives way to a medium size white, fluffy head. Aroma of honey and wild flowers. Mouthfeel is quite fruity but it quickly fades into a yeaty, breadlike finish.

A sweet, dry Belgian full of Belgian fruitiness. The clear golden body was topped with a creamy white head. Heavy aroma of caramel, raisin, plum and apple. Lighter sense of flowers. The flavor is moderately bitter and acidic and lightly bitter. Lively carbonation in a medium body. Very nice.

750ml bottle dated 6 Jan 2006 and served in a NB snifter. Aroma of light fruits (pears, apples), yeast, vanilla, and alcohol along with a pepper-like spiciness. Pours hazy gold, with reddish tints, and an active two fingered head. Taste is light fruits, mild wood/earth, vanilla, candi sugar and light citrus followed by a rush of pepper, spiciness, light banana, and alcohol. Soft mouthfeel, warming alcohol. A nice beer, a sort of velvet hammer.

Pours a sunny gold with an everlasting skim thin head. The nose is Unibroue yeasty, with lots of banana, pear and sugary vanilla. The body is rich with honey and caramel. The yeast adds some light fruity esthers to the mix. The ABV is quite peppery on the tongue in the finish. Quite the easy drinker for 10%, with the sublte complexity I’ve come to love from this brewery.

Golden with lasting white head. Cherry, apple, berry and vanilla tones pair with a typically yeasty entry from the brewery, to make for a deliciously quenching soury/spiced offering. Wheaty and direct, this brew is powerful and demanding, yet gently yeilding aroung the edges. The brew commands respect at 10%, however its high abv is soft and well disguised. A complex brew which leaves a lot to think about.

Hazy golden with an OK head. The aroma is sweetish, spicy and fruity with notes of the characteristic Unibroue yeast. The flavour has sweetness, spice, candy sugar, yeast and fruit and all the orange citrus fruits. It’s not very complex, but OK. 2412
