Good head retention w/ a thick lathered lace. Nice! Aroma is total Belgian tripel w/ stone fruit pits and dusty granite. Full nectar w/ ample residual effers complete w/ Chamagne streamers. This brew is thick w/ fat lucious malts. Not unlike a high pulp mixed fruit drink. Mango, kiwi, peach, apricot, banana, vanilla cream. Other earthy nuances of cedar and leather. Very complex. I love the way the effers float around on my palate like the waves of nectar are pushing them around instead of them forcing themselves upon me. Strong flavors to fill an appetite. Theres a tropical buttery quality that comes out as she warms. The finsh is long on flavor w/ a perfect peachpit bittering component. MrManning (1643), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Bottle bought from the beer depot in March 06. Pours cloudy yellow with a super frothy bleached white head. Good lacing and retention. Pineapple and yeasty aromas are up first, spices, and floral notes follow, with lots of citrus. Sweet fruity flavours, pineapple, apple, lemon, with some yeasty funk, some mild hopping perhaps. FInishes sharp and assertive. Pleasant. luv2brew (178), Chesterfield, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Strong belgian type nose with small bubbles that make up an everlasting head. Pours a dark orange with a taste of orange peel among other things. I thought this was a representation of a Belgian ale. It was a little too carbonated, but I’m glad I tried it. The alcohol taste was muted, but after I had finished the bottle, I knew there was a hefty dose of alcohol in there. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 11, 2007 750ml - Aroma is at first strong bready yeast followed by a blast of spice and cirtus. Nutmeg, ginger, and orange peel. Pours gold with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor is typical Unibroue yeastiness with orange and ginger. Palate is smooth and creamy. Alcohol is hidden well. While this is a very tasty brew, it isn’t bringing anything new to the table from Unibroue and I have to start asking for more. wildchefbill (244), Sarasota, Florida, USA
