MrManning (1634), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 12, 2007 Bottle bought from the beer depot in March 06. Pours cloudy yellow with a super frothy bleached white head. Good lacing and retention. Pineapple and yeasty aromas are up first, spices, and floral notes follow, with lots of citrus. Sweet fruity flavours, pineapple, apple, lemon, with some yeasty funk, some mild hopping perhaps. FInishes sharp and assertive. Pleasant. luv2brew (177), Chesterfield, Virginia, USA Apr 12, 2007 Strong belgian type nose with small bubbles that make up an everlasting head. Pours a dark orange with a taste of orange peel among other things. I thought this was a representation of a Belgian ale. It was a little too carbonated, but I’m glad I tried it. The alcohol taste was muted, but after I had finished the bottle, I knew there was a hefty dose of alcohol in there. MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Apr 11, 2007 750ml - Aroma is at first strong bready yeast followed by a blast of spice and cirtus. Nutmeg, ginger, and orange peel. Pours gold with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor is typical Unibroue yeastiness with orange and ginger. Palate is smooth and creamy. Alcohol is hidden well. While this is a very tasty brew, it isn’t bringing anything new to the table from Unibroue and I have to start asking for more. wildchefbill (244), Sarasota, Florida, USA Apr 9, 2007 Pours hazt gold with giant white head. Aroma is malty, spicy. Flavor is heavy malt and heavy yeast. Thick mouthfeel. Hops evident in the finish. Great beer. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 8, 2007 A different Belgian strong. Tastes like a hefeweizen to me. Lots of banana and spice. Pour was a cloudy gold with no head. Aroma of yeast. Bottle is the best thing about this beer. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden Mar 31, 2007 Bottle, 75cl. Golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is yeasty and fruity. Taste is fruity and slightly spicy but also a wee bit alcoholic.
alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Mar 29, 2007 I couldnt disagree with golubj more; he obviously does not have an exquisite palate. He should stick with Miller High Life. His taste buds are just lacking on so many levels. Seriously though, the beer was too carbonated for me. Harsh palate. Some good, but not complex flavors. Alcohol was well hidden. Had some distinct unibroue flavors;
