Offers excellent head retention, as Unibroue typically do, and was a great beer to look at. The aroma is not unexpected from this brewer: coriander, cloves, orange peel, pepper, and yeast are the stronger notes. The flavour is remarkably strong and very pleasing, bringing through all we found in the aroma and adding in some anise, lemon, and apricot flavours. I’m truly happy to have sampled this one, great stuff. HogTownHarry (3990), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Poured cloudy light gold with a huge fluffy white head. Trademark Unibroue aroma of dry, sharp, peppery/spicy yeast, lemon, wheaty malt and alcohol. Taste was a nice fruity malt with plenty of thick spicy yeast and alcohol in the finish. Thick lively body, dry, astringent, moderately boozy and a nice sharp yeasty bitterness in the finish. Pretty nice, reminds me a bit of their La Fringante. Radek Kliber (3942), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Hazy, foggy golden ale, medium creamy top.
Sweet, rich clean nose, dried fruits with hints of spice. (7+)
Yeasty, sparkle of vanilla, followed by fresh wheat bread. Clean yet potent alcohol included. Quiet drinkable, yeasty at finish. Texture was slightly chewy on softer side. Good craft.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 3, 2006 Bomber - Pours a very hazy golden yellow in color with a foamy whitish head that quickly faded to a thin covering over the beer. Aroma is very thick of Belgian yeat and sour fruit. Flavor is slightly sour, but the fruity sweet malts eventually come through with apple, caramel and a hint of grape. Carbonation is evident an the beer remains fizzy throughout. This is a quite good beer.... too bad it is soooo expensive... I like it a lot... joergen (8523), Frederiksberg, Denmark
