Hazy, yellow colored, with a white head, yeasty, and sweet aroma, flavor starts out very sweet, then potent spicy, peppery notes, and yeast in the finish. Spice was a little overpowering but I was able to finish the bottle.

nice refreshing, high carbonated Summer Belgian Strong Ale. would fancy more in the aroma with cleaner look & feel. also like a little less carbonation, but impressive for such a deceptively strong beer. another example how these guys really understand the Belgian styles. I would purchase again for a tasting.

This brew pours with a golden body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s spicy and full of clove with a hint of banana and a little yeastiness with a slight lemony note. Medium bodied, smooth, a touch tingly and a hint dry.

Just when it looked like Unibroue was going into near retirement mode come one of my new favourites from them.Big pop in cork. A saison in sight and spicy aroma. lace. Clean crisp spicy and orange taste, with refreshing carbonation that kicks into finish with hop bitterness on aftertaste. What did I pay? It was worth it.

Bottle and served in my Unibroue tulip glassware: Displays a bright golden hue that is topped by a everlasting fizzy head and there was okay lacing on the glass. The aroma has notes of candi sugar, caramel malts, house yeast esters, banana, over-ripened pear, light cardamom and ginger spice, and just a vapor of floral hops.

The taste is not has sweet has feared. Really has a nice balance of sugary sweetness, pungent spice, and light hop bitterness upon the finish. Throughout the tasting there was a constant presence of fruity undertones and a woody dryness at the end. This comes off a bit like an over-the-top Saison but with a sweeter base. I really found myself digging the flavor profile the more I drank it. Peppery aftertaste really works.

The mouth feel is fizzy and refreshing which helps keep it from becomes cloy and the alcohol is very well hidden until almost done with the bottle.

A sure fire winner IMO and frankly that is all that matters. A surprising heavy but refreshing summer brew.

An excellent trippel. Pours cloudy gold with a thick white head and good carbonation. Aroma is heavy with candi sugar, bananas, and yeast. Apples, sugar, and spice hit you up front, but mellows into a nice spicy malt. Velvety mouthfeel but not heavy. Some alcohol burn as the beer warms. Very, very nice.

Bottled version. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color witha thick and fully lasting white head. Strong notes of bananas, peaches, and pineapple in the aroma. Sweet and fruity banana flavors abound with a slightly tangy finish. I pick up some spice but not as much as other people seem to be tasting. A high quality trippel like beer and another solid Unibroue product.

Pour was a cloudy yellow/tan with a huge (typical of Unibroue) white frothy head that diminished fairly quickly. Aroma was spicy and floral. The body was light with lively carbonation and the taste pretty much echoed the aroma – peppery with citrus/orange notes.
