750ml bottle. Amber with a thick white head. Yeasty aroma with some malty bittersweet smell. Taste of malt and pear with some apple and spices. Alcohol present and a bit overwhelming. Balanced palate, small alcoholic finish. Nice, but not as good as Unibroue 10 or 11.

The body is dark gold with a thick white head on top. The aroma is typical Unibroue with banana esters and some nutmeg. There is also some light musty sweat. The taste is pears with cinnamon and nutmeg spices. There is a lot of carbonation in the mouthfeel. The finish is sliightly tart with some Granny Smith apples ad a bit of leather. A little funky. Interesting.

<!-- b -->Bottle<!-- /b --> <!-- p --> Pours rich and gold with a nice head. Aroma is tart apple with bits of bread and nutmeg. Slight banana in there as well. Taste is very direct, most notably yeast with an apple tartness. Hints of clove seem to be peeking in there as well. Not bad, but I’ve had better.

Cork and Bottle Liquors, Baton Rouge, La. - 750 ml corked bottle. Dark golden pour, bubbly white head - thinnish. clean aroma, some bubblegum balls - the kind in the machine, pear juice and alcohol. Pleasant fruitiness to the flavor, with hints of nectarines, candied sugar, and some alcohol. Flavor not as pronounced as expected, a bit muted. Mouthfeel is slightly syrupy, which is nice. Good overall, just slightly underwhelmed.

Last night I was looking for something light to go with some hot shellfish, and this was an excellent choice. Pours yellow orange color with a fat head on it. Smells sweet spicy and fruity. Taste is refreshing, lively, and smooth. A pretty good beer, perhaps underrated a little bit. Nice effort.

Pour is a bright hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is fruity and the same yeasty zest you get from most Unibroue beers. Flavor is some spice and clove with a pepper finish. The flavor does not stand out as much as some Unibroue beers but this still has some nice qualities to make this one to look for before it disappears.

Bottled Jan 6, 2006: A sweet salivating aroma of sugar, spice and a perfect example of quality yeast. The drink itself has a sweet and spicey flavor with small dry fruit, yam, and dashes of spice and seasoning. Somewhat metallic with a aftertaste that is both dry and empty. The ale appears as an intense blonde with fizzing head. A lot of dust flake and debris floating about after as the remainder of the bottle is poured.

a nice "sweet" malty smell mixed with a bit too much "alcohol" in the overall aroma(it is 10%!). Nice, dark amber color, Flavor is much softer on the pallet than one would guess from the aroma. The alcohol % is well hidded in this multi flavorful belgian strong. Very easy on the pallet for a "strong" beer. Very pleased overall EXCEPT for the price...$7!!
