3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled, 75cl champagne-corked. It looks quite nice, both the bottle and the poured beer. It pours clear, golden, quite sparkling, and with a nice, off-white head. It has a very fruity nose, with hops, alcohol and some aluminium. Spicy and hoppy flavor with alcohol and fruityness. A bit dusty mouthfeel, medium to full and a bit sweetish. Spiced, hoppy finish with some warming alcohol. A nice beer that unfortunately has some metal-notes. (070213)

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled (75cl, Vasa session).
Hazy orange color, floating yeast, small off-white head. Aroma has apricot, Belgian yeast and glue. Quite full-bodied. Quite Belgian or letís say US-Belgian flavor: fruity yeasts - mango, apricot, orange, candy sugar, syrups ... Alcohol is well-hidden. Typical Unibroue brew, and as usual, good one.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(750ml bottle) Medium white head that does not linger, atop a lightly hazed straw body. Aroma is moderately sweet, banana, some bubblegum, melon. Taste is moderately sweet, banana, bubblegum, light clove. Alcohol present but not overpowering. Medium body. Kind of a Tripel, but lacks the dryness.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2006 While ugly - dull beige with a loose head - and smelling mainly of foot, mushroom and stiff alcohol, this isnít bad at all. The full body shows a lively dance between coriander, green peppercorn and dried sichuan pepper skins versus alcohol, over a backdrop of warm and doughy thick pale malts.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. [thank you, after4ever]
On the bus to ZBF. Pours clear golden with a small frothy, off-white head that soon becomes a thin film. Lots of bubbles in the liquid. Aroma has apples, some viniousness, yeasty and malts. High carbonation with a fine, frothy mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly vinious, no indication of oxidation, good dryness, yeast and a little hops. Malt, apples, oranges and a slight vanilla note finish it off nicely.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy golden with an OK head. The aroma is sweetish, spicy and fruity with notes of the characteristic Unibroue yeast. The flavour has sweetness, spice, candy sugar, yeast and fruit and all the orange citrus fruits. Itís not very complex, but OK. 2412

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma of yeast plus banana, perhaps other fruit. LIght apricot color, tiny bubbles, and a head that did not last. No lacing in the snifter. Starts with sweet, green peppery, spicy, yeastiness. None of that too strong. Yeasty apple/pear comes out, but the finish is interesting sweetness, but a very light sweetness. This is so drinkable.
