Poured a hazy gold with a big fluffy white head and many streams of bubbles rising to the surface. Sweet malty aroma with yeasty and doughy notes. Hints of fruit and spice. The flavor is malty and yeasty as well. Some green grape flavor and light spice. Semi-dry and warming.

Just when it looked like Unibroue was going into near retirement mode come one of my new favourites from them.Big pop in cork. A saison in sight and spicy aroma. lace. Clean crisp spicy and orange taste, with refreshing carbonation that kicks into finish with hop bitterness on aftertaste. What did I pay? It was worth it.

Bottle (750ml). at Decemberfest 2006 - my bottle, via trade with Viper666. Poured cloudy light gold with a huge fluffy white head. Trademark Unibroue aroma of dry, sharp, peppery/spicy yeast, lemon, wheaty malt and alcohol. Taste was a nice fruity malt with plenty of thick spicy yeast and alcohol in the finish. Thick lively body, dry, astringent, moderately boozy and a nice sharp yeasty bitterness in the finish. Pretty nice, reminds me a bit of their La Fringante.

Bottle @ Decemberfest.
Hazy, foggy golden ale, medium creamy top.
Sweet, rich clean nose, dried fruits with hints of spice. (7+)
Yeasty, sparkle of vanilla, followed by fresh wheat bread. Clean yet potent alcohol included. Quiet drinkable, yeasty at finish. Texture was slightly chewy on softer side. Good craft.

This Belgian Ale pours a deep brown color from a cork finished 750ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head. Aroma is biscuits, yeast, with some citrus and pepper. A medium bodied Belgian strong ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Brown sugar, banana and bubble gum mix and match with coriander, pepper and clove. There is also a very noticeable alcohol bite to this beer as well. Smooth tasting, despite all that alcohol. It tastes like most if not all of Unibroue other Belgian Ales. Definitely has that house character that makes them all seem pretty much alike. Not that that is a bad thing… Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a alcohol bite.

Bottle. Golden body, big creamy white head. Light spicy aroma, like baking spices, fruit, tangerines maybe? Light fruit flavour doused in moderate alcohol, mild malt and very slight citrus impression. Touch muted overall but nice. Lingering mild spice character. Average palate is smooth and lightly effervescent. It is not mind blowing but why would Unibroue only send this the US? Sigh. 7+/4/7/3/15

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange body with an off white head. Fruity etoh latent ester, apricots, lemon zest, some light apple tones, and a woody warming. Peach with a spicy yeast strand that warms and nibbles at the tongue. A bitter earth toned finish. Nice ale.

This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop marked jan 15,2006 A06061724Q poured a very large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a hazy typically carbonated dark yellow brown colored body and thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was floral and malty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The thick flavor contained notes of malt spices and floral. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
