| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 26, 2007 750 ml bottle. Golden colour. Mostly clear, but with a slight haze. Same crisp dry hop character as you find in most tripels. Lightly sourish sensation in the back. This could be hops that providing the acidity. Quite bitter, at least in the beginning. Finishes more malty, but the aftertaste is dry and warming. Alcohol is quite noticeable. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 9, 2006 This brew pours with a golden body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s spicy and full of clove with a hint of banana and a little yeastiness with a slight lemony note. Medium bodied, smooth, a touch tingly and a hint dry. notalush (2699), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2006 Golden/straw colored beer with high, fizzy carbonation - sweet honey aroma, with some background earthy/yeastiness, a touch of lavender and peach - I taste a lot of tropical fruit in this (apricot, pinapple mostly) - somewhat sweet up front, but a spicy driness swells up to balance it, with a hint of the lavender from the aroma, along with some other aromatic/flowery qualities - almost seems like a really strong saison/tripel-hybrid - pretty good. Less intense and less complex than most of the Unibroue Belgian-style Canadians. Appearance like a Belgian tripel, with the yeasty bready nose and taste. I’ll try this again, just to see if I can work up a stronger reaction to it the next time.
