Orange color with a small head on top. Nice apricot yeast nose. Nice apricot and also medium cherry taste. Earthy. Light spicy finish. Nice one.

750 ml bottle. Golden colour. Mostly clear, but with a slight haze. Same crisp dry hop character as you find in most tripels. Lightly sourish sensation in the back. This could be hops that providing the acidity. Quite bitter, at least in the beginning. Finishes more malty, but the aftertaste is dry and warming. Alcohol is quite noticeable.

This brew pours with a golden body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s spicy and full of clove with a hint of banana and a little yeastiness with a slight lemony note. Medium bodied, smooth, a touch tingly and a hint dry.

Golden/straw colored beer with high, fizzy carbonation - sweet honey aroma, with some background earthy/yeastiness, a touch of lavender and peach - I taste a lot of tropical fruit in this (apricot, pinapple mostly) - somewhat sweet up front, but a spicy driness swells up to balance it, with a hint of the lavender from the aroma, along with some other aromatic/flowery qualities - almost seems like a really strong saison/tripel-hybrid - pretty good.

"Poured a cloudy golden color with good head and okay lacing. Aroma was very hefe like lots of bananas and cloves. Flavor was much the same but could pick out the Unibroue yeast. Very hefe like."

Goodgrief (1608) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - FEB 16, 2008
Nov. 2006 - Cloudy pale gold color with nice initial head and lacing. Aroma and flavor was sweet citrus, spices and pepper. Flavor was really rich and mouthfeel was nice and full. Perhaps a tad too sweet, strong...but enjoyable.
