3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 MmmcKay (841) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - MAY 1, 2009
Good beer. Sweet but not off balance. Pours a nice rusty brown. Very easy to drink. That’s what keeps me coming back to Unibroue. You don’t have to think about their beers to appreciate them. They make feel like I’m down at the pub. Good job guys.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 JaBier (2999) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - APR 19, 2009
Sample at the Unibroue tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 4.10.09. Cloudy amber color with a big off-white head. Aroma of yeast, funk and metal. Sweet yeast flavor with a sugary and boozy finish. 15 was much better.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Avengedpoet (326) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - MAR 8, 2009
Pours a golden brown with a voluminous white head. Aroma of lots of belgiancandi sugars and that trademark unibroue funky belgian yeast. Taste is quite sweet, with lots of sugar, malt, and spice complexity featuring nutmeg, cinnamon, dark candi, and an array of crystal-kilned malts. Quite quaffable and good. I think this is by far my favorite Unibroue that I’ve had in quite a long time. This was a nice surprise.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Suttree (3765) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 8, 2009
Reddish orange, big foamy white head. Bready, fruity aroma. Very malty to start. Sweet and mildly tart flavor meld nicely. Crisp and citrusy, with a surprisingly bitter finish.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hayduke (2445) - Eureka, California, USA - FEB 23, 2009
From the usual C&C bottle you assoiciate with Unibroue this poured a very muddy brown with a very foamy tan head that left decent lacing. Nose was of ripe fruit, , mostly raisins and figs. Rich and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is the same ripe fruit and there is a distinct bitter finish. Very interesting and tasty beer.

Found at Binny’s in Willowbrook. Amber pour with a big, thick white head. Bready, yeasty aroma with fruits, spices, some clove. Very tasty, lots of fruit and spice. Nice carbonation, and the 10% doesn’t show through much at all.
