Not my style but a good example of it. A complex brew that is well-crafted. Murky amber with a foamy white head. Yeast, caramel, mixed spices, citrus zest, tart cherries, vanilla all compliment one another in the aroma and the flavor. Smooth and warm in the mouth. A slight alcohol warmth in the finish. Not bad.

Bottle. [thank you, FrenchTickler]
Pours a nice red orange with a creamy off white head with good lacing. Aroma has yeast, raspberries and lots of spices. There is some caramel in there as well. Fair carbonation. Flavour has a vinious streak, but with a great balance between sweetness, viniousness, spiciness and quite a lot of bitterness. Apples, weak raspberries, caramel, coriander, toffee appears in wonderful doses.

Deep amber coloured body, full of haze, with a large slightly off-white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, coriander seed and a tiny bit of low a.a. hops. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong yeastie flavour with some wheat and corn noticeable. Aftertaste shows a bit of sweetness - some bananas and some light fruitiness definitely showing. Overall, a good beer - a mix between a very strong wit and a tripel, with it teetering toward the latter. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, D.C. on 25-December-2007.

750ml - Poured a hazy caramel brown in color with a very large light tan head. Nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is big with malty sweetness, some citrus and faint coriander. Flavor is malty, but not quite as sweet as I expected. Lots of caramel and brown sugar. Some spice and a light yeasty sourness to keep it from being too syrupy sweet. Citrus and spices linger in the finish. Another great beer from the folks nord of the border...

Garrafa, em dezembro de 2007. Coloração âmbar turva, creme bege consistente e persistente. Cítrica. Cravo. Carbonatação alta. Levemente amarga, doce e salgada. Encorpada. Após um certo tempo, notei a presença de algo azedo.

Corked bottle
Hazy amber color; nice perlage; huge head. Soapy aroma; then, malt, bitter orange peel, coriander; sweet. Good body structure, sweet, malt and caramel flavor, spices; correct bitterness. At he end there is some candi sugar, a bit astringent too. Very good.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a large long lasting off-white head that lasts leaving good lacing. Aroma of pears, citrus, and yeast. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and tingly carbonation. Very well hidden alcohol. Very good.

Large head on a murky orange pour. This is a Duvel-like Belgian, a golden ale. These are not my favorite and although I recognize that this is a complex beer, it just really is not to my liking. I liked the 15 much better.
