Bottle. Low white medium high white lasting head. Hazy dark amber body. Unfortunately the alcohol is dominating the otherwise fruity aroma. Appele pear alcohol hops flavor. Low carbonation and a long aftertaste.
2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 texasbartender (160) - Sugarland, Texas, USA - MAY 22, 2008
The beer pours a hazy amber color with a thin head that is mostly lasting with fair lacing. The nose is a savory mix of fruit and yeast. The front of the flavor is a highly carbonated blend of alcohol and citrus. The tale tasted like copper, but the metal taste lessens as it warms. Overall a simple beer that is drinkable but not craveable.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2008 75cl bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa). Pours a dark, brown with a thick, creamy white-tan head that settles quickly but provides ample lacing on the glass. Aroma: Sweet caramel overtones with hints of sweet, ripe fruit and honey. Flavor: Sweet malt, spices, caramel, and honey. Medium-bodied ale with a sweet, lingering finish. Perfect balance of sweetness. malt and alcohol. Too bad Unibroue doesnt make this every year!

Pour was dark golden/amber with a white fluffy head. Aroma was very citrusy and floral with notes of orange. Flavor was fruity and floral. Carbonation was just right. Very smooth and refreshing. Alcohol hidden very well. Great brew. Would buy again.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2008 Pours an attractive deep caramel color. Nose is spice and sweet malt, as is the interestingly complex flavor that has a touch of fruit in it. Smooth on the palate and very drinkable.
