guzzler67 (1272), Hanover, Maryland, USA Dec 2, 2007 Cloudy amber appearance with a large beige head and nice lacng. Yeasty aroma paired up with sweet malts and ripe fruit. Multilayered taste; brown sugar sweetness, subtle spicyness and dark fruit. Sweetness lingers through to the long lasting finish. RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Dec 1, 2007 Had this beer on 8/20/2007. Aroma is a sweet roasted malt scent. Color is a hazy orange/brown with good carbonation and tight tan head. Taste is rich and slightly sour. Starting with a full body it goes down rich with a smooth foamy feel. Finish comes in with bold malt flavor that rolls into a true Belgian yeast taste then a nice sour taste. On the end is a good bitter bite chased down by a warm alcohol feel. This is an intense and well balanced beer. The only down fall is the alcohol is very noticeable on the end. ChazMania (408), Pasadena, California, USA Nov 28, 2007 750ml. A huge head settling into my glass. Nice belgian aroma of honey and yeast. I like this more than the unibroue terrible that I had 2 nights ago. This is a good strong Belgian style and worth enjoying. nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 25, 2007 750 ml. Clear copper with a medium-sized head that lasts. Sourdough and spicy honey aroma. Flavor is malty: whole grain bread baked with lots of earthy spices, brown sugar, and drizzled with honey. Spicy bubblegum-alcohol aftertaste has some slight herby tastes. Palate is more medium than light-bodied, and airy. Nice dessert beer, with well-hidden alcohol. Enjoyit (1697), Vadum, Denmark Nov 23, 2007 Hazy amber of color with a beige/beige head. An aroma of oak, spice, fruits, sweets and alcohol. A flavor of fruit, spice, sweets, wood and a dry finish. wickedpete (625), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA Nov 19, 2007 Cloudy brown body with spritzy head. Aroma is warm with sugar and fruit. Flavor is slightly bitter with some fruity sweetness coming around the edges. brewblackhole (1367), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Nov 17, 2007 Monster, sweet fruit ester aroma, like walking through a fresh fruit section at your local small grocery store, head not as big as most Belgians, Taste is all fruit ,with mango, pear, and apple dominant, hints of caramel backing, drys out in finish with a little carbonic bite, those bubbles aren’t coming out till they hit your tongue, not as smooth as others ,,almost tastes like a health shake tronraner (1906), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Nov 16, 2007 750 mL bottle. Pours cloudy orange with very large ivory head. The aroma has lots of yeasty notes, banana, spice, some wildflower honey, some candy sweetness. The flavor hits with a honeyish sweetness, then notes of white raisins, caramel, spicy yeast, and fresh wood. The finish is fruity and sweet, and leaves a clean aftertaste. There really isn’t much evidence of the alcohol, which makes it a dangerous brew. This is pretty good.
