[Courtesy of Joergen, quality tasting @ Papsoe] Large creamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Muddy amber color. Aroma of yeast, fruit, caramel, grain. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitter and hint of acidic notes as well. Fruity sweet finish. 28-09-2007 Ungstrup (15099), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 2, 2007 Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruits as well as some fresh fruit, on a malty back ground. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, alcohol, and fresh peaches. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 2, 2007 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Hazy, amber golden with an off-white head leaving some laces. Aroma of yeast and fruit. Full-bodied, sweetish caramel and plenty of brown sugar. Appears a little tired. I really wish that Unibroue would renew themselves instead of putting out a seemingly endless row of yeasty, over carbonated and uninspired Belgian strongs. This is becoming a little tedious. 280907 Magicdave6 (5490), London, Greater London, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 2, 2007 Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk, at home with ronnie. Aroma is sweet fruity esters, yeasty, bubblegum and heaty banana character. Taste is similar, yeasty fruity esters everywhere, alcohol well hidden. ante (2928), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Bottled. Warm hazy amber appearance with rich white foam. Ever-present Unibroue yeast in the aroma with notes of spices, caramel, white bread, nuts, berries and orange-peels. Full and warming flavour of yeast, bread, fudge, oranges, licorice and alcohol. Long warming and yeasty finish of caramel, anise, yeast and orange-peels. jujubeast6000 (777), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2007 (bottle): Pours a reddish brownish color, smooth head, off-white, somewhat lasting. Very sugary flowery aroma, some alcohol. Sweet, refreshing, flowery taste. Some waming from the alcohol. Very sweet. Good as it warms up more. JoeZasada (135), Beaumont, Alberta, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 30, 2007 A beautiful beer with a wonderful explosion of flavour. Malty, yeasty, very complex. A foamy head, would probably age well for an even better taste.
Highly recommended, but hard to come by...
