Cloudy orange/brown head. Fruity fresh, spritzy aroma with spicy yeast. Flavour is pale malty, bit citric, with spicy yeast. Full-bodied with alcohol shining through and pale malty sweetness and alcohol evident. Good house yeast as always with Unibroue. Silphium (2160), Haslett, Michigan, USA

Heavy spice aroma, big on clove and other esters, pepper, sweet breads, and sour pineapple. Heavy clove body, peppery and bitter, backed by chewy sweet breads and light pineapple esters. Prickly, tight carbonation. Too much emphasis on spice for my taste, but a pretty good beer. adwoan99 (244), Ft. Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 24, 2007 Aroma seems fairly light to me. Very bready/yeasty with some good malt notes. Slight hints of citrusy hops and alcohol. Appearance is very nice caramel brown. This beer shines for flavor. Somewhat biting carbonation on the tongue, the alcohol is noticeable. Has a good definite Belgium characteristic flavor.
