mgermani (621), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada May 20, 2007 Pours a slightly opaque dark brown/amber with a nice head and some lace. Wonderful sweet & fruity aroma, slightly floral hops. Tastes fantastic! Amber and some brown malt, floral and slightly ferric hops, dark apple and cherry flavours as well. Great creamy body, slightly over-carbonated. Great beer, wonderful balanced flavour, nice body, If this weren’t $10/bottle I’d keep it on-hand at all times!
hop_lover (156), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Oct 12, 2008 Poured a tan color with an effervecent white head. Real bubbly. The aroma is very malty and a little sour. The flavor is the same, pretty sour. Dredd (366), Ormond, Australia Oct 9, 2008 After two years of bottle age, this has matured perfectly. Sweet toffee and brown sugar aroma, pour is light brown hue with a solid beige head. Flavour is burnt sugar, ultra stewed fruits and long bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is good with a creamy texure that implies vanilla that may or may not be there. At no point does this one let it out of the bag that it is 10%.
Another well crafter Unibroue beer. CaryTheDude (290), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Oct 8, 2008 Very nice. Lotsa head, malt of up front, hoppy finish, and let’s do this. Diggin it. mjfleming23 (21), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 25, 2008 Had this as part of a Unibroue tasting dinner. Poured a deep amber with a thick head. Aromas of malt, oak, and alcohol. Taste is complex, fruity, and malty. markwise (287), Satellite of Love, Florida, USA Sep 24, 2008 Thanks to kiefdog for the share. Pours caramel color with a strong sugary candy apple caramel aroma. Great sugary sweetness with a granny smith bite. Finishes sweet and sticks around. Incredibly smooth beer for not even 2 years old.
