750 ml bottle...pours cloudy cola brown with a thick tan head. Aromas of dark fruits (raisins, and black cherries), candied sugar, vanilla, caramel, and some slightly funky yeast. The flavor was sweet without being obtrusive, with the vanilla and dark fruits prevailing. The palate was moderately carbonated, medium bodied, and finished hot with alcohol. A very complex sipper...

In the bottle at the 2009 Crescent Moon Extreme Beerfest. Pours a cloudy brown with a thick creamy head. Nice wheat and lemon flavors. Strong ethanol. Lots of cherries and oakiness as well.

Great Unibroue beer. Typical sort of mouthfeel, which you come to expect when drinking Unibroue products. Maybe the most attractive of their beers in terms of coloration - a nice deep ruby color. Lacks a strong aroma, which seems strange to me. Flavor is largely sweet fruits, though the aftertaste balances it a bit by being slightly more bitter. Alcohol is noticeable, and not as well integrated as I would have expected.

PPWD Trade Show. Great beer. Nice dark color and flavor. Dark fruits, and yet hints of chocolate malts. Somewhat strong but not to the point of being undrinkable. Great effort.

750ml bottle at Novare Res. Pours a dark cloudy reddish color. The aroma is dark fruits like cherrys and plums. Flavor is nice alcohol, prunes, sweet and almost wine like. This is a nice beer, i was really impressed.

750ml bottle. Pours dark red with nice foamy white head. Aroma of red fruits, touch of alcohol. Nice aroma but not very complex. Very sweet taste. ripe fruits and prunes and blackcurrant. Almost too sweet depending on what you are into at the moment. Rating #41

0.75 l bottle. Brown colour with a tan, creamy head. Very interesting aroma with chocolate, spices, bonbon, orange zest and Speyside malt. Vanilla oaks rule as well. Good orangey chocolate flavours with yeasty notes and very nice vanilla oakiness. Spicy finish. A 17 year-old to be taken very seriously.
