750ml Caged/Corked Poured into a tulip a very nice brown color, very nice carbonation, very nice thick creamy one-finger plus tannish head, lots of nice creamy thick sticky lacing. The nose is malty, yeasty, very nice touch of figs, raisins, and plums, with some caramel. The taste is sweet, malty, yeasty, fruity, with some caramel. Full-Medium body, the alcohol is alittle up front on this one. Very drinkable, what can I say another awesome brew from Unibroue. Thanks Steve.

Thick dark brown pour, big foamy white head. Dark fruit, very sweet aroma, caramelized sugar, some yeast, some smoke and wood as well - not typical Unibroue. Taste - was this oak aged? I did not read the label. Heavy vanilla oak taste, blends so well with the yeasty, dark fruit and alcohol. Lots of smoke and peat in finish

750mL Bottle. Pours a dark brown body with a lot of head. The aroma is sweet malt and something else I either can’t describe or dont remember. The taste is great, like most Unibrews. A great balance of yeast, spice and alcohol. Awesome brew.

750ml bottle. Pours cloudy dark brown with a smallish off-white head. Aroma and flavor are both quite complex and nice. Mixtures of toffee, dark fruits, tart fruits, yeast, mild spices, etc. Lots of stuff going on, and all meshes and balances very nicely, leaving an oddly understated impression despite being quite flavorful. Recommended.

I have neglected to keep up with this series of anniversary beers mainly because I usually do not care for them when fresh. This one is not that much different. It is a little hot and the sweetness takes over most everything else. Big yeast aroma with some grass and spice is nice. Flavor is not all that memorable or complex after a bit of fruit upfront and the sweetness on the finish.

750ml bottle poured into a tumbler. U17 pours murky and walnut brown with a large fluffy head that has no intentions of going anywhere anytime soon. The aroma is peppery with strong alcohol. It also contains raisin and whiskey barrel oak smells. This beer smells like a serious drink, not like a typical beer. The taste includes vanilla, cream, black pepper and cola. The higher-than-average carbonation pushes the beer through the mouth nicely and prevents the alcohol from lingering on the tongue. This is a very nice beer that I feel should be sipped for full enjoyment. Sip frequently though. There is no sense in wasting 10 percent ABV!

Pour was a slightly turbid brown with some ruby highlights. A short, almost fizzy off white head appeared and collapsed quickly. The aroma was malt, yeast, pepper and sweeter spice. The flavor was dominated by malt and yeast with light peppery spices, softer chocolate and cinnamon and some unchecked alcohol heat. Average mouthfeel. Seems like there might be something to this one that a year or two or three of cellaring might help.

Pours chestnut deep with beautiful head, lasting too. Yeasty bready notes are first noticed but there are toasty malt and berry aromas. Chewy syrupy body has dusty roasted fruit qualities, berry and green apple. Therre is a vanilla oakiness present as well which adds a little bit of developing complexity as the bottle empties. The lingering booziness makes its presence felt but does not overwhelm, this is a stronger one. Nice level of carbonation allows for nice mouthfeel and drinkability.
