| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 18, 2008 Pours dark mahogany with a fizzy beige head. Chocolate and cherry come through in the spicy nose. High carbonation and lively fizzy palate like most Unibroue beers. Delicious, slightly sweeter then the other anniversary offerings, but the carbonation dries it out in the finish. Still a touch boozy, but these anniversary beers seem to really shine after a few years. jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA

pours dark amber with a pillowy off white head that has a lot of staying power, leaves great lacing, too. aroma of yeast, ?cherries?, some dark fruit, and a small note of burbon. flavor similar, slightly sour cherry finish. light caramel sweetness and maybe a little apple in the background. thankfully, this beer lacks the trademark belgain overcarbonation, which is usually a turn off for me. very full body, nice alcohol warmth. beachbum25 (783), Powellville, Maryland, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2008 750 Ml Bottle-Poured dark brown color w/a lot of carbonation & lacing. Sweet, Belgian aroma. This had a really good, sweet Belgian flavor, dark fruit, caramel, candied sugar, yeast, banana & some spice. Rich, full mouthfeel. Definatly tasted the carbonation, but the alcohol was well hidden. This was quite good. Long, full finish. radiomgb (1977), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Brown in colour with a lingering large beige coloured head, good retention, excellent lacing. The aroma has some spice, lots of yeast, plums, bananas, caramel and brown sugar. The flavour is lightly sweet with some caramel, dark fruits, yeasty with some light alcohol. Warming mouthfeel, meidum body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes lingering, yeasty, some warmth.
This is nicely done. Typical Unibroue yeast. I’ve always liked their anniversary beers and this one is no different.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Bottle sampled at NFB&WF ’08 at Martha Clara Vineyards. One of the better beers I drank at the festival. Pours a very cloudy brown. The aroma is malt with some yeast and brown sugar noted as well. The flavor is a bit sweet with caramel, malt, yeast and brown sugar. The alcohol is well hidden with only some slight warming at the end. Nice. JK (2952), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 9, 2008 Better than most Unibroue. Nice lavender aroma with oak. It smells like Provence. Hot on the palate from alcoholl. Thick and brown. Some sugar. Spices, with orange and coriander as well as some anise. Maybe my favorite beer from these guys, after the Quelque Chose. The aroma is sweet malty with ntoes of caramel, yeast, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of spices and yeast, the spices include ginger and thyme added cardemomme coming late. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 7, 2008 Corked bottle Cloudy dark amber to brown, creamy head. The aroma is malty, with vanilla oak, with notes of spices and porto wine. Strong body structure, strong flavor of malt caramel and medium chocolate, medium sweet, and with some nice vanilla. In the end there is a robust caramel final, well bitter, with a hint of alcohol and very light sweet liquorice. Oak aged Belgian Ale? why not... Very good.
