Style: Belgian Strong Ale
Chambly, Canada

Pours a deep brown with a creamy white head. Aroma is of cinanmon, clove, coriander, fresh ripe fruit, and candi sugar. Flavor is sweet upfront, then followed by a spicyness. Finish is slightly warm, can still smell this aroma after taste lingers in the nose. Very nice beer.

Here was another fine beer compliments of my brother. Poured a dark hazy brown color with nice tan head. The flavor is fruit, spices, yeast as is the aroma. Texture and mouthfeel are both very nice. Drinkability is good and alcohol is hidden quite well.

750ml. bottle. The color is a dark brown with a beige head. The taste and aroma is of spicies. In the taste there is also malt and the taste of whisky.Another fine beer from Unibroue.

dark murky brown with a large creamy tan head. aroma of dark fruits(plum, raisin), apple, and some spices(anise). flavors of apple, a touch of oak, raisin, a little chocolate, yeast. a recognizable uni-brew, but always a good drink.

I do not hesitate to buy a new bottle from these guys. Especially not if it has a cork in it. And this is really no exception to that rule. One of the best beers of the evening when Daniel was here. Very typcial (not a bad thing) of their beers, full of carbonation, light orange color, but the best thing about this one is the very fruity yet strong hop presence which makes the beer highly drinkable, even for 10%. This one is killer, and way better than 16. Very good stuff, I need to get more than 1 more bottle of this stuff. Very drinkable. WIll try this one again when I am more sober.

typical unibroue strong ale. Their yeast strain is evident, lots of fruit, apples, pears, plums, oranges, figs. The flavour is much of the same, quite fruity, witha nice maltiness............good stuff, but very similar to their other strong belgians

Bottle from Capones shared with Mad_Indian and PR Frank. Pours Brown with amber edges and a nice size off-white head. Aroma of fruit, spices, belgian yeast, and hints of chocolate. The flavor is carbonated, sweet, fruit, spices, slight biscuit and chocolate, with good moutfeel, well masked alcohol, and a decent texture.

Bottle @ Mondial 2008. Caramel nose, brown sugar, toffee, alcohol, cloudy brown, pours a small long lasting tan head. Flavour is absolutely bitter almonds and dark pit fruit, and I think beets. Full bodied, very well balanced, but oh the bitter dryness is super. Majestic! Great effort!
