750ml corked bottle opened June 2009. Deep. opaque, amber brown color, with a substantial beige head. Lots of dark fruit flavors. Some spice as well, I want to say cinnamon, but it could just be the yeast. Raisin, cognac cherry, this is really deep and complex. The alcohol is pretty present, not unlike a Belgian Quad or Abt. Great.

Pours a dark brown with a dense thick tan/off-white head. Aroma hits the nose from the bottle with a strong sweet and yeasty note. with notes of cherry, light vanilla and spices. Flavor is a strong sweet dark cherry note with some light estery flavors, lots of sweet caramel malt, slight chocolate flavor at the very end and alcohol does come through a little as well at the end. Density is great and very heavy of sugar, carbonation is high and the head is just wicked, leaving behind a very thick and dense coating on the glass. Another fine anniversary ale by Unibroue and one of the better ones to stock up on while you can.

Bottle. Sweet yeasty aroma. Deep mahogany body, thick beige head. Flavor is sweet and spicy, with ripe fruit, banana, and caramel. A little too sweet. Some alcohol burn in the finish. On the whole, not bad, but with too much sweetness and too much foreground alcohol.

25 oz bottle. Pours a nice cola color with sufficiently thick white, full foam head. Aroma is sweet booze, vanilla, yeast, and some dark fruit. Very complex, subtle flavor; peaches, wheat, earth, well-disguised alcohol. I am partial to unibroue, so this review can’t be taken too seriously, but this is just a VERY nice evening time beer. Best of the day, and I’m glad I waited. It has a relatively static palate, but when you start good, you don’t have to move too much. Yum.

Bottle opened with a load pop followed by tons of yummy beer smoke pouring out. Body is dark opaque brown with a massive tan crown floating on top, the retention is just stupid I had to wait ten min. for the head to slowly settle down so I could get a sip in. Aroma is wheat, yeast, perfume, summer fruit (peach maybe) and just a hint of the 10% alcohol. Very smooth flavor built on a wheat back bone, vanilla, yeast, plums, and tons of perfume all make into the taste. The alcohol starts to come out a bit too much when warmer but nothing too harsh. This yet another high quality brew from Unibroue doing what they do best.

Bottle, brown color. Coca cola, Dr. pepper aroma. Nice thick feel, brown sugar, dried fruit and cola taste. Nice beer, me gusta.

Smells of fruit and hearth with massive oak and vanilla tones. Pours a very nice reddish brown with a great white creamy head. Another amazing carbonation and body from this brewery. Top notch. This is one of the most interesting and complex beers I have ever had. Huge Plum and rasins and vanilla. But what really stud out was the buttery complexity. I really thought I was drinking an highly oaked Merlot. This was stunning.

Pours medium brown with a white head os small bubbles. Flavor is sweet with caramelized fruit in the foreground. Mouthfeel is a bit sticky, but has a good amount of carbonation. There is a fairly strong alcohol presence along with a bitter hop finish. A good strong ale.
