| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2009 A pretty good beer. I like Maudite, ZTrois Pistoles, La Fin du Monde, etc more than this beer however. Aroma of lemon, fruits, coriander. Taste is slightly bitter and tart, fruity and citrussy. Very bland compared to the other Unibroue beers. BigBeer45 (686), Troy, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 6, 2009 The pour is mostly clear (very faint haze in there) pale gold with medium effervescence, gave a one finger high white head, aroma of lemon, lemon citrus and pear, wheat, faint sweetness, flavor of lemon, wheat and some citrus, sort of simple and non-entertaining, not much tartness in this drink compared to other Wits I have had, hardly any bite, pepper or significant touch to the finish, sort of just slips away at the finish, disappointing, mouth feel is light and thin, the effervescence is visible in the glass but is flat on the palate, aroma and flavor is bland, if I did not know better, I would say this bottle was past due but not according to the ‘Best By 4-29-10’ date posted on the bottle, I am surprised Unibroue makes a beer that is this plain, I enjoy their other beers much more than this. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 17, 2009 Updated: Jun 28, 2009Bottle. Pours with an average-sized white head, that lasts for a little while. Color is dark yellow, with cloudiness throughout and good lacing. Aroma is citrusy, as expected (orange especially), with light yeast. Medium body on the palate, with average carbonation and a slightly bitter finish. Tasty flavor with average duration, moderate acidity, and lightly bitter. Good price, would definitely drink again... one of the better Belgian whites I’ve had in a while. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2009 Deep yellow, with orange. Medium white head, long lasting. Aroma of wheat malt, spices, orange. Dry, somewhat tangy malt flavor. Light spicing, good mix of rich malt, sour, and sweet. Light and refreshing. Dryish finish. Very nice wit. Light and clean but tasty. Papillon (172), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 1/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 11, 2009 341 mL Bottle. Pale cloudy orange body with a fizzy, fast-disappearing head that vanishes like a Houdini act. Aroma is wheat and grains, yeast, banana, pineapple, grapefruit, apricot, and cloves. Flavor is wheat and grains with a light note of celery leaf. Pineapple and grapefruit rind express in the aftertaste. The finish has a tartness to it. Points lost for lack of any head / lacing but looks can deceive. GG (1619), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2009 Another ennjoyable beer from Unibroue, although I think that this might be the weakest beer from their repetoire or perhaps just the one I enjoyed the least. The beer from the 750ml bottle pours out cloudy orangeish-yellow color with a huge 3" head. I had to put the brakes on the pour as it was going to easily overflow my Maudite glass. Aromas are light fruity malts, orange zest, ginger, and corriander really show up nicely in the nose. Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, but not overpowering. Flavors are light wheat, corriander, citrus, but lots of Unibroue’s house yeast. Beer has a slight acidic bite to it. Overall, not bad. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2009 Aroma is a faint yeast with some coriander, a little citrus zest as well. The color is a nice wheaty color, and large foamy head. The flavor is a nice wheaty, yeasty, and some nice spice and citrus. The feel is quite carbonated, and with a dry body.
