Apr 17, 2009 Darker than I’d expect for a wit, almost amber, but a nice inch high head.
Typical wit aroma. Wheaty, coriander quite dominant, orange peel to a lesser extent.
Citrus comes into play upon tasting, coriander is as active as ever. Wheat kicks in a bit later, followed by a moderate bitterness. Pretty much what you’d expect, but nothing interesting.
Watery (expected), but too much carbonation.

Apr 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Lighy bodied with sweet malty flavors, and hints of belgian yeast notes. This would be pretty good as a summer beer. Also pairs well with OJ for a "beermosa"

Apr 10, 2009 750ml corked. Spicy, yeasty, light malt aroma. Clear yellow with a very small white head. Sour yeast taste cut with a sweet malt flavor. Medium/Light bodied with a thin creamy mouth feel, lively carbonated. This is a nice Wit that is crisp and refreshing.

Apr 8, 2009 Corked 750 from the Dépanneur down the street from the hotel. Pours an almost opaque yellow with a medium to large fluffy white head. Nice wheat and yeast on the nose, with a bit of funk to it. Thin bodied, and wheaty. Crisp light finish. Decent easy drinking wit.

Apr 4, 2009 Not a bad beer. Head fades away rather quickly. Nize hage orange appearance. Decent palate. Nice yeast flavor. Favors the yeast, that is a definite. Slight banana flavor. Definitely a decent witbier. Slight yeast aroma, but not very pungent. Overall, a great yeast flavor. Not a very pungent aroma, and a decent palate. Try it once and move on.

Mar 29, 2009 I’m sorry but even as a Quebecois, I don’t like that beer. There are a few white beer thet I like a lot but the Unibroue typical belgian yeast doesn’t fit with my likings, neither the spicyness. Not sweet or delicate or complex or refreshing. Since I like Unibroue a lot, I’ll make some publicity here: the Quatre-centième is great, so is 1837, and Fin du monde, and Trois-Pistoles, and Eau Bénite... Enough already...
