This is a very smooth Belgian type beer. Very wheaty with a hint of orange. Similar to that of Hoegarden. I would definitely drink it again.

You really cant go wrong with Unibroue. A good belgian ale but not in the same league as Trois Pistoles. Lighter than most Unibroue brews which may apeal to the preferences of some drinkers.

A very nice Belgian White, but a little tiny bit watered down. I still think it is great and very refreshing in its own way.

Cloudy pale lemon yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is spicy with hints of leather. Flavor is weak apple, grape and a little clove. Aftertaste is dry with hints of correander and leather.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2004 A good beer but it tastes like a watered down Don de. Now Don de is great so this is still very nice but unless you don't drink often the Don de is the beer

Hazy pale yellow beer with a thick head. Very pleasant fruity aroma of citrus and yeast. The taste (yeast and citrus) is a bit deceptive, though. A good refreshing beer, but I agree with the others that this is not the best one Unibroue is brewing.

This beer pours a cloudy yellow with a strong foamy head and lots of carbonation. Smells a little of citrus and some other fruits. The taste is very smooth and drinkable - very sweet and enjoyable.

I poured it into the glass and drank some. Distinct lack of character.

I poured some back into the bottle, shook it hard and poured it back into my glass. Distinct lack of character.

I stirred the glass of beer vigorously for several minutes then drank it again. Distinct lack of character.

There is an awareness of a witbier aroma - slight pepper, slight clove, and slight moist air along with a hint of orange. But the taste is way too subtle to be interesting. There's a witbier lurking around here somewhere, but it's too timid to come out and play. I got some bubblegum, some spice and some wheat, but in a murky and laid back manner. Not sure what Unibroue are after here - a gentle witbier that doesn't offend anyone? I think there's a big difference between playing safe and not playing at all.

Frothy head. Golden orange color. Milky, slightly hoppy aroma. Fairly thick, especially for a white beer. Grapes, yeast, milk and chalk. Good lacing. Not bad, but nothing special.

Champagne-like head and carbonation. Crystal clear body with a color that is similar to a full-bodied white wine. Yeast and lemon aromas. Grape and citrus flavor and tartness. Some sourness and light sweetness in the aftertaste. Light body, but pleasing to the palate. This is a refreshing and delicate beer with many white wine qualities. I used half of this bottle in a delicious trout marinade.
