Pale, pale yellow. Looks like lemonade. Sweet smell of honey and citrus. Yep, Lemony-honey like taste, but not strong. It feels like I’m trying to listen to faint whispering and I can’t understand the words. A little sweet, a little tarty, not very big. Interesting twang to the aftertaste, hardly there. You’ll have to listen closely to here this one.

Pours with a citrus/pepper/mint/herbal aroma. Average wit head. Cloudy, yellow. Nicely balanced sweet/dry wheat flavor w. a hint of anise and bubblegum. Clean, simple and quenching.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: AUG 9, 2003 (Re-rate)Hazy creamy yellow color (that's better!) Light bright white head, yeast, wheat, banana, bubblegum and orange aroma. Fresh citrussy flavor, mostly orange, some banana notes, bready finish. Lots (too much?) of carbonation, a bit of a mineral taste, come coriander. Tastes like banana and orange bread.
(Original 07/02)Totally clear !!?!?!? pale yellow with a big white head. Citrus aroma (mostly lemon) with some yeast, wheat and peppery notes (as it warmed up, I picked up some boiled cabbage notes??!!?). Very refreshing but the lemon notes are a bit shy, finishes on a slight bitterness.

A very good belgian witbier. Refreshing on a hot PA day. Lacks the spicy zing, but the citrus and wheat flavors are all there.

A nice wheat, not very spicy, dry finish, and not too sweet. Medium body, looks great!

Sept 01 What’s there is nice; what’s not there is a lot of character. Looks more like a pilsener; wheat and citrus character present but on the light side. Lesser offering from this great brewer. July 02 this is one I suspected I would like more a 2nd time around, in part because I got a 750 this time instead of a 12 oz. Nope, still find it rather bland and uninspired. More like a dull American wheat than a true Wit if you ask me. Stick to Unibroue’s big guns.

Light yellow unfiltered, big white head. The aroma is light and sweet, with Belgian yeast and wheat. Nice wheat flavor, mildly apple sweet, very easy to drink.
