Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 21, 2008 From a 750nl bottle from By the Bottle in Vancouver, WA--Poured a sparkling pale white-golden hazy body with a thick white fluffy soft head. Crisp, effervescent, smooth, spicy, phenolic. Nice easy wit. Mmmm. halfonit (415), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Aug 16, 2008 It has a citrus smell. Now I’m not a fan of these light citrus type of beers so I kind of already knew what it was going to taste like. It does have that sweeter citrus flavor to it, but I must admit that this is one is smooth. Not too bad at all for a lighter, sweeter beer. Good Job!! NomDeBeer (397), Maryland, USA Aug 15, 2008 Strange taste of peroxide plus a slightly metallic finish. Overcarbonated and thin. This one clings to the lowest rung of drinkability - surprising for a Unibroue beer. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Aug 15, 2008 Great brew with some light carbonation which gives it a nice mouthfeel. A little stale sour flavor in the finish, otherwise solid. Witbiers don’t usually do it for me, but this I’ll make an exception for. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Aug 14, 2008 Pours pale golden with tight whote bubbled head. The nose and flavor are lemon and some spice. Very light and dry in the finish. NJBeerman013 (761), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle. It pours a light yellow in color with a rapidly fading, pure white head. It leaves tons of lace in the glass. The aroma is sharp and fruity. There is a strong note of banana and wheat in the flavor. It has a medium body, and an acidic, spicey finish. Allen (1282), Switzerland Aug 10, 2008 Bottled 33cl. It pours a hazy yellow beer with a tall white head. Notes of exotic fruits and viatmin tablets in the nose. Lots of wheat in the taste. Nicely peppery with hints of vitamin tablets. Mediocre lacing. Meidum bodied. Lightly acidic. Slightly watery. Peppery finish. jackzodiac (12), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 10, 2008 A medium, pale head that settles quickly and leaves some very light lacing. Amber gold color with some noticeable sediment. Sweet, fruity aroma with some faint, spicy scents. A thin mouthfeel. It had a strong spicenote with some white grape hints and a crisp, clean finish. Definitely a beer I’d want to cellar for a little while.
