nickspies (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Nov 2, 2007 Mostly coriander but some sour and sweet. Hazy and orange...thin to no head. Starts sour, then sweet, then spicy. Nothing really stands out flavor-wise. Fizzy with a medium body. fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Nov 2, 2007 Not my favorite from Unibroue. Some citrus and yeast and a ltittle clove. A little herbal as well. mvcramer (229), Arlington, Massachusetts, USA Nov 1, 2007 My first from Unibroue and I’m sure there will be better brews from them.
Pours a nice hazy pale yellow and a thick yeasty head. OK lacing on the glass. Aroma was of nice yeasty/estery notes, with some clove. Did not get any citrus at all, which I was expecting. First sip was pleasant - balanced the maltiness with a mild citrus/bitter flavor on the back of the palate. I also got a sour taste that became more pronounced as I worked my way through this one. Not bad. But certainly not great. JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Oct 29, 2007 Pours a hazy straw yellow with white head. Sweet malty grain, a bit of lemon, and some spice. Slightly grassy and herbal. Nice drinkable white. DAVOMCW (7), ST LOUIS, Missouri, USA does not count Oct 29, 2007 THIS IS A NICE WHIT. NOT OVERLY SPICEY OR CLOVEY. IT POURED MILKEY WHITE WITH PLENTY OF CO2.
THIS BEER WENT DOWN EASY LEAVING ME WANTING ANOTHER.TOO BAD. IT CAME IN A SAMPLER PACK WITH OTHER GREAT BREWS. BEEJE26 (40), Ontario, Canada Oct 29, 2007 A truly delicious Canadian wheat beer. Rich full aroma, nice head. Notable citrus flavour. Goes down easy. McGarnigle (301), Rochester, New York, USA Oct 27, 2007 750 ml. Pouts an opaque straw color with a fab head. Aroma of lemon and spices and coriander. The body is medium, but with spritzy carbonation. What stands out about the taste to me is that it’s slightly tart. A good witbier, but this style can only be so good. joverton85 (80), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA Oct 24, 2007 slightly dry and bitter but mostly a wonderful sweet belgian style witbier. i’ve enjoyed this on several occasions and i think it just may be my favorite witbier i’ve had.
