3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A fairly average wit from the frozen North. One thing it does demonstrate, though, is that wheat brews do not have to taste like bananas, thank goodness. Poured from the bottle into a goblet, served up a bit too cold to appreciate fully. Aroma of yeasty bread, murky yellow color, decent looking. I bought a sampler pack of Unibrows with 6 different ales for less than $10, a good deal. Oddly, they all taste rather similarly yeasty with little hop presence and mild spiciness, and so far none has knocked me out. This one is fairly bland and inoffensive with some citrus flavor and a pronounced yeastiness. Decent brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A murky, golden beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has lemon, coriander, wheat and spicyness, typical and succesfully. Taste has wheat, coriander and some lemon, balanced spicyness. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Typical witbier, but nicely brewed, tasteful.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This brewery always over-carbonates their beer, sometimes to the point of gushing. They use their standard belgian ale yeast, so all their beers share a common flavour. The taste of this beer is actually very nice for a wit though.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rated from old notes. Faintly cider-like smell and taste, but dry, and not overly done. Very pleasant sipping companion.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
355 ml silver foil capped bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Very slightly hazy golden yellow with two fingers of off-white head. Aromas of herbs, orange citrus, light spice, wheat. Tastes of herbs, orange citrus and peel, some yeast and wheat bread. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Well made wit. Would be a nice microbrew intro/alternative for the Blue Moon drinker.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hearty white head. Dark yellow haze below head. Clean citrus aroma obvious. Flavor is slightly sweet with forward citrus hidden behind a fair amount of carbonation. Holds its own amongst my usual wits.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a finger and half of head on a hazy straw body.
The aroma is fruity, ripe plum, a little apple and some grain.
The taste is fruit sweet, but balanced.
The texture is crisp and fizzy.
It’s pretty good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Mes Que in Buffalo, NY. Not sure how I’ve never had this before, or at least never rated it. Knew it’d be a very solid beer and of course it was. Well made Belgian-style witbier, a bit of spice but not wild. Well balanced.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
341 ml bottle. Bought in La mise en biere in Lausanne. Fantastic smell to begin with, sugar, almonds, flowers, pepper. Deep amber orange color with low white head; something that called my attention was how loud the fermentation sound was; almost like champagne. Sour taste, but not in the Petrus kind of way, more closer to a traditional belgium taste. Aftertaste is a delight and shows more than the initial taste. Great beer and now after this one and Trois Pistoles i’m getting slowly as a serious fan of Unibroue.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Unclear medium gold. Large fluffy white head. Bigger light body. Creamy and still prickly. Yeasty. Wheat. Citrus. Mild spiciness. I like this better than most of the other wits I’ve had.
