Unibroue Blanche de Chambly

A little too carbonated and dry for my liking. Even a bit bland. Light flavor of citrus and spice, not watery, but not really satisfying.

Sampled at the Newtown Brewfest 07 with Stegosaurus. These guys stole the show bringing the biggest variey of beer and they were awesome guys.Cloudy pour mild spicey aroma not as good as the othe Unibroue beers that were brought to the show but it was ok.

Hazy white of color with a nice white head. An aroma of spice, citrus and wheat. A flavor of spice, wheat, citrus and hints of sweets.

Nice wit... Unibroue does not often disappoint, although this isn’t quite as spectacular as some of their heavier stuff. Still, a good drink.

Strong clove and lemon aroma with cabbage to a lesser degree. Classic witbier appearance, milky yellow, thick white head. Great mouthfeel, perfect carbonation, round bodied. Lemon cream taste with a nicely balanced lemon grass finish. There’s nothing terribly unique about this beer, but it is done well and a credit to the style. The 12 oz. bottle left me wanting more. Next time, I’ll get a case.

The Blanche de Chambly is for me the most lackluster Unibroue offering. Its greatest strength is the characteristic Unibroue mouthfeel, which is as soft as can be. It’s a very thin beer, but then again I find many Belgian-style witbiers to be thin and rather boring.

one of the more enjoyable beers from this brewer...refreshing, light, and highly drinkable, this beer is straw yellow and clear with a white head and tight bubbles. Distinctly unibroue, but also, accesible.
