Unibroue Blanche de Chambly

Bottle @ The Rake. Thanks to Richard for this one on the house. Opaque blonde, no head. Aroma is wheaty with citrus and bubblegum notes. Taste of wheat and fruits. Fizzy like lemonade and medium bodied. Yet another star from Unibroue.

Slightly hazy gold with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma of yeast with a peachy fruitiness. Nice, gentle taste with yeast, banana and coconut. No bitterness. Pretty good.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma is funky, musty, coriander, banana, sausage, lemon. Flavor is wheat, spices, banana, citrus. A bit watery.

C’Est une très bonne bière. Un gout typique de Unibroue. Légère et fruitée. Elle se boit très bien.

Bottle, 33 cl. Pours a slight hazy pale yellow. Big, bubbly white head. Loads of bubbles. Aroma is sweet, lots of banana, some coriander. Flavour feels like a mix between a wit and a belgian ale. Lots of yeast, banana, some malty weetness. Ends prickly and peppery. Feels a touch watery - it’s not the beers fault, only that you expect a touch of belgian ale in it.

gentle aroma of not much other than your standard wheat beer with a hint of medicine. Nice taste if a little vague. Getting a bit of dry tongue, baby bubbles (lots of em).

Cloudy light golden with big head. Light fruity yeast aroma. Light and crisp; a little too fruity. Light honey. A bit thin....would be a good summer beer.

750ml - This is a tripel masquerading as a witbier. For some brewers there is a flavor signature that seems to be transmitted to all the beers they do, and I believe this is the case here as well. To me, I thought it closer to La Fin and Maudite than Hoegaarden or the Omme Witte.
