cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 14, 2006 Very expensive belgian white @ $3 a 12 oz brown bottle. What does ’on Lees’ mean? Looks expensive too with it’s silver foil hat. This may be my first canadian wit. Pop the lid to reveal a slightly sour vinegary wheat aroma. Pour is like a clearer wheat but has some twisty streams of yeast in there and yes there seems to be some muck in the bottom of the bottle. Lots of bubbles and a creamy white head. Yer creamy initial taste that is full of wit cleanliness. Whitbeir is one of my favorite styles and this has lots of good competition. Taste is right up there with pax and wittekirke but is not as refined as hogaarden. Pretty good finish without unpleasant linger. ogglethorp (882), Ohio, USA Dec 12, 2006 Bottle. Pours hazy straw color with a nice rocky white head that lingers. Aroma is lemon, corriander, some floral qualities. Flavor is corriander, spice, clove, orange, lemon, yeast. Plate is dry, crisp, light bodied, clean. Nice JHunter (242), British Columbia, Canada Dec 10, 2006 pours a murky light yellow white color with a medium size head which dissipates quickly. wine aroma not the best white i have had. Heathen (723), Riverside, New Jersey, USA Dec 4, 2006 Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a huge, rocky, white head but not much lacing. Beautiful carbonation when viewed in the glass but less than I expeted on the tongue. Goes down easy. Lemon and corriander aroma. It has a lightly sweet white wine flavor in the front of the mouth that turns to sour lemon flavor that is not overpowering. Light mouth feel and flavor but not at all watery. eboats (887), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Dec 4, 2006 Poured light yellow with a big white head. Some floaties were noticable. Aroma was belgian yeast, bananas, and original bubble gum. Flavor was light yeast, some banana, some spice. Good body. gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Dec 3, 2006 Found this one bottled in Sycamore, Illinois. Bright yellow pour with a thick, foamy white head. Typical white, with corriander, spice, clove, orange and banana. Yeasty and bready throughout. Finishes clean . Good! DrewTaylor (154), Michigan, USA Nov 27, 2006 Semi-opaque white beer with a yellow color. Average head. Oragne aroma. Sometimes served with an orange to enhance taste. Nice beer, very flavorful compared to other white beers. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Nov 24, 2006 Poured a pale hazy yellow brew with a medium white head. The aroma was sour with hints of orance and spice, very sharp. (Had with orange) The taste was very sweet, the orange masked most of the white ’s flavor. The palate was very smooth and full. The finish was smooth as well.
