ilikestuff (222), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Oct 2, 2006 Updated: Oct 4, 2006Not a bad brew, but not a favorite of mine. Aroma is nice, but too subtle, flavor is good, very typical of the style. Little head, but good carbonation. All the crap floating around in it is a bit of a turn off. Tip: Don’t pour the bottom of the bottle, if nothing else, it at least looks better without all the bits and pieces in it. Sincere (145), wichita, Kansas, USA Sep 24, 2006 12 oz bottle pours a very murky and pale yellowed body with no head and active carbonation. Huge chunks of something (yeast? lees?) floated out, clouding it more but the all settled at the bottom. The aroma is subtle but pleasantly vanilla and grape/wine-like. The taste is as subtle as the aroma. Very much like a wheat beer with just a bit more bubbly mouthfeel and a slight astringent quality. Decent but not exciting. ratman197 (3135), Arvada, Colorado, USA Sep 24, 2006 750 ml bottle poured a hazy yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of coriander, yeast, wheat and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, yeast, light spice and a hint of citrus with a crisp finish. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Sep 24, 2006 Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Pale yellow with decent head. Citrus aromas. Orange and lemon. Classic orange flavor with corriander and spice. Pretty good. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Sep 17, 2006 A good beer, but definitely not my favorite from Unibroue. Pours a very cloudy gold with a small white head. Spicy, yeasty, citrusy aroma; sweet wheat flavor with a light bitterness. diabel (1366), Aarschot, Belgium Sep 14, 2006 Bottle. Murky, white, fizzy head. Fully diminishing head. Aroma of spices, caramel, flowers, orange. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Not very complex. Nice weat beer, but not overwelmingly good. alexanderj (2204), Chino Hills, California, USA Sep 6, 2006 Bottle in Aug 2006. First beer from Unibrau. When poured it formed a sizable head. Heavily carbonated. Smell was of citrus. Taste was lacking for me. Too watery and too much like a lager. Veer (355), Landskrona, Sweden Sep 3, 2006 Aroma: cloves, sourish, yeast, clementine, allspice, black pepper, wheat, flowery. Appearance: light winegum yellow, cloudy, not so saturated, witbierhead. Flavor:sweet, bready, mm, vaguely vinous, a musty afterflavor, fresh - good. Palate: crispy, fresh, bit much co2.
