3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I’m not a fan of the style, but decided to expand my horizons. Pale yellow color with a big white head. Aroma is fruit, spice, yeast. Taste is orange, pear, clove, sweet malt. It’s not bad, but I’m not really planning to try it again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Harvest Market, Bedford NH. Aroma is Belgian yeast, biscuit. Appearance is cloudy yellow, suited to the style, with nice sparkle and 2 finger-width foamy white head that dissipates pretty quickly with lacing that is ephemeral. Taste is initial sweet citrusy fruit followed by dominant sour. Palate is medium bodied with thin texture and overly fizzy carbonation (a recurring theme I am finding with this brewer) with foamy finish. Overall, a pretty straightforward witbier with some nice features but nothing spectacular.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.341 bottle. Hazy, yellow color and a large, white head. Aroma of bananas, coriander, spices, citruses, wheat, and some hops. Taste is obviously sweet, full of banana, citruses, and spices - quite usual for the style though of relatively good quality. Medium body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is splendid: it’s a great combination of typical wheat character with an amalgam of spice-related flavors usually seen in Belgian abbey ales. Overall a pretty nice beer, its mediocre score seems hard to explain.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample pour from the bottle. Pours a bright yellow, slight haze, foamy white head. Aromas of grass, hay, citrus. Flavor follows the nose, some lemon, a bit funky. Not my favorite style, but decent. Light body, thin texture, lively carbonation. Dry on the finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy pale golden color, topped with a decent white soapy head, retention is average. Pleasant citrusy aroma with quite some nice spices, a bit wheaty as well. Taste is sweet and wheaty at first with more stress on soury citrusy feel, some spices. Very nice and refreshing.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Early July and it’s hotter than all heck outside and twice and humid. Luckily there is a nearby beer to such a satiating quencher to slake this diabolical thirst have I. This is exactly what I desire, almost as if this brew possesses preternatural powers hitherto unbeknownst. Scents of orange peel, coriander, bubblegum, wheat, lemon and white pepper beckon me into the pillowy head, resting atop this maniacally effervescent blonde belle. Cloudy and flavourful, this beer is the key to my heart, via my liver, on any sweltering day.

4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
From the bottle: Medium yellow w/ a bright white head. Good lacing on the glass. The orange peel and coriander are front and center here. Pleasantly balanced between those and the beers wheaty background. Thoroughly enjoyed it...well worth the coin.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy golden orange with a tall, tight, rocky eggshell head that hangs out a while, eventually settling to a thick film and ring, leaving some dripping, hanging foamy lace. Nose involves hearty spicy yeast, vanilla, florals, orange citrus. Some sweet, fair tart, a bit bitter. Lighter bodied, airy, fluffy, juicy, with a yeasty doughy ethereal finish. Not my favorite style, but this is quite enjoyable, and great for summer. The Unibroue house character shines through and keeps it from being boring.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
341ml Bottle shared with wife. Aroma: citrus, cloves and other spices. App: cloudy straw, medium white head. Taste and palate: light body, light sweetness, medium carbonation, light acidity and sweet finish. Overall: finish is quite boring for my taste. I?m not a huge witbier fan though. Lacking a bit in taste and finish.
