Nice white head and yellowish white color with a cloudy appearance. The palate is a little thin but it does not ruin the experience. The taste and aftertaste are nearly indistinguishable. Both have a wheat taste along with a light spice and citrus. Nice. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 5, 2006 (12 oz bottle: $2.29 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) I keep trying this beer to see if I like it any better, and unfortunately, I still don’t. Coriander and orange citrus are nice early on, but I simply don’t care for the flavor of the moderate bready/wheaty/yeasty base that I get in the finish. Light-medium bodied on the palate, nicely carbonated, clean and refreshing early on, but loses that in the finish. The aroma is spicy, citrusy, and oddly woody to me. Pale golden in color with a tall, but very short-lived white head that leaves minimal lacing on the glass. After tasting several witbiers in succession, this seems average at best to me and is definitely not close to being one of Unibroue’s better offerings in my opinion. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2006 Bottled at Belgain Room. Pours a pale golden with lasting white head. Flavor is very light and thin, with a drop of lemon wheat and yeast. A lot of carbonation and a slight tart finish. Refreshing, but simple and missing something. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 22, 2002 Another solid Belgian from the Canucks. Hazy, with a big crystal white head. Small bits of fibrous orange-brown stuff suspended in the head (citrus?). Nice label. Buttery/fruity Belgian aroma, with a pepper/citrus twang. Flavor is smooth, and the bottle-conditioned carbonation is just right. Fruity, and similar to their Don de Dieu, with a lower ABV. Palate is solid, and slightly acidic in the finish. Good stuff. puzzl (2661), New York, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2006 Pours with a big white head that fades fast. Aroma is nicely spicy and full, with a sweet flower presence. Taste is pretty thin, lots of spicy wheat and a touch of strawberry, pretty bone dry, with a touch of champagne flavor in the finish. A bit watery for my tastes, though easily drinkable. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 1, 2002 The beer pours a very light somewhat “Chill Hazed” lemon yellow color, the head Herculean in size, the texture creamy with jumbo sheets of lace clinging mightily to the glass, both a dazzling white. Nose is malt laden, crisp and fresh, citrus tones also present. Front is sweet malt, the top lean with a tart and perilously acidic bite, chased by a pleasing hop spiciness. The aftertaste long lasting and quite dry, quite quaffable, but I tend to like the more robust beers from this brewery, but if you’re into “Wit” beers, give it a sample. downender (2649), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England

Aroma of coriander and cloves with some spritzy grain and citrus. Flavours of orange, coriander and yeast with a mellow finish. very pleasant. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 16, 2004 Foamy snow white head, muddy yellow body. Mild yeasty and citrusy aroma. Some apple tones also. Typical Unibroue beer, maybe it’s the yeast? Flavor is thin but sweet. Yeasty, grainy and fruity. Drinkable but not very interesting and also quite thin on the palate. Not a typical wit!
