The aroma was sour with hints of orance and spice, very sharp. (Had with orange) The taste was very sweet, the orange masked most of the white ’s flavor. The palate was very smooth and full. The finish was smooth as well. Beerdedone (1888), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

Gigantic head settles to an inch of long-lasting foam atop the hazy orange-golden body. Spicy citrus bubblegum aroma. Flavor is similar, but shows more spicy orange peel, yeast, clove, and coriander than bubblegum. Some of the Juicy Fruit-like and banana esters show up more in the second half and at the finish. Near-medium body is soft, drying, and has a little acid tingle on the finish. Nice take on the style is a bit heavier than most. TheGrandMaster (1882), Auckland, New Zealand
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 7, 2009 Bottle in NZ. Pours a cloudy dark gold with a large frothy head. A surprisingly weak aroma, faint yeast and spice. Dry and wheaty palate, again surprisingly light on the flavour. Some peppery spice and yeast, light citrus. Quite carbonated. Disappointing for me. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 2, 2003 Slightly hazy, golden beer has a huge frothy head and interesting yeasty, biscuity aroma that offered little hints of citrus and vanilla. Long, lingering biscuit flavor was quite enjoyable, although I expected more spice. Middle was very toasty and rich with tangy citrus notes mixed in. Finish was rather bland, but overall it is a fresh wheat that I thought leaned toward the American Wheat style. DrnkMcDermott (1873), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA

I was too bust enjoying it as a beer. A stiff white head that leaves rings of Belgian character for sure. Taste is, as I said, a happy, malty beer first, and then the wit character crops up. Clean malt taste with just a bit of wheat, then a nice blend of spices. Couldn’t get that fruitiness everyone’s talking about, but that’s probably just me. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Mar 19, 2002 Incredible clarity? Mild apple, coriander, lemon zest and orange peel in aroma, slightly peppery and spiced. Mild lemony tip drifts into a more adventurous herb/spiced mid-palate with the orange and clove texture making itself noticeable. Rounds out with a little dryness and lingering orange sweetness,
