There was a slight spiciness, but I was waiting for the banana or clove to punch through. Maybe that’s just a German and American Wheat beer thing. TChrome (1303), Bedford, Texas, USA

Wonderfully yeasty aroma with some light wheatiness as well. Aroma inspires a sip. Fully carbonated mouth feel. Flavor is yeasty/spicy with a wheat base. This is a great summer drinker here in Tejas. shorlin (373), St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 30, 2008 Poured a hazy, very light yellow. The head was small and fast fading, leaving a film of white foam. The nose was strong with citrus and clove. The taste was full and slightly tart. Citrus and malt dominate up front with banana, spices, and hints of lemon coming throgh in the end. There is no hop bitterness at all that i can detect. The finish was slightly yeasty. This beer was a little over carbonated, but not so bad that it detracted from the flavor. It goes down smooth leaving a clovey aftertaste. A very interesting wit, fairly well represented of the style. delacerveza (157), Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2002 i’ve had a few belgian style beers (even ones that are actually from belgium) and this one is an excellent example of the genre. very flavorful and smooth.
i dunno, i think my tastes they are a changing....i had one of these again and thought, why was i so smitten? perhaps it’s because i’ve had more samples of the style, i dunno. still a great beer, of course, but not necessarily my all time fav as it used to be.

Pale yellow, but huge head. I got sweet pears and apples as the predominant tastes here. Very smooth, a good intro a Belgians. Mildly unpleasant aftertaste, but doesn’t detract from it being a great beer at all. rauchbier (3004), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England

The aroma was typically spicy with hints of corriander and the body had that typical zesty wheat flavour you expect from a Belgian wit. Head didnt last as long as I expected but overall enjoyable. Orange peel and coriander aroma. Mostly orange peel flavour with a slight spicy hop bitterness. Refreshing medium bodied and dry palate.
