3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle-Initially very light but as the yeast is added from the bottle it changes to a dark cloudy yellow hue. A fizzy white head goes away with not lacing at all. Aroma is lemony like a magnolia blossom. Banana and clove is muted. Soapy notes are a negative. A pleasant taste but a bit too lemony. The texture is light. A high carbonation is an interesting feature. Very dry finish makes this beer almost like a champagne. Unibroue is one of my favorite breweries, so I am sure that this is exactly the beer they were trying to make. It is unique but not strictly to my liking. Let me try it again in a year and see if my tastes have changed.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20

330ml bottle from LCBO. Toronto, Ontario. Pours a hazy golden colour, bubbles on the side of glass is visible reminding me of my nye champagne’s appearance.
Typical witbier aroma with notes of citrus fruits and a hint of corriander. Taste matches the aroma with a well balanced hoppy finish.
Great head retention. Creamy mouthfeel.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy golden, with a moderate head that dissipates quickly. A typical Belgian witbier, with notes of caramel and yeast on the nose. Taste is sweet, with strong wheat characteristics, and the Unibroue ester taste. Orange and coriander notes. Mouthfeel is moderate. Another excellent Unibroue beer.

Une référence dans le temps... J’aime bien l’équilibre entre le côté floral et acidulé.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle(750ml): hazy, straw, with light head and poor lace. Malt dominated and strong wheat profile. Like fresh grain. Very simple. Maybe a hint of spice. You need to talk yourself into that. Slightly estery. Dry, slightly sour and low bitterness. Hollow palate. Spice on the palate. Maybe a hint of TCA. Short and moderately refreshing or quenching.
Ok. The beer world seems to have passed this brewery by.
