3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle sample thanks to my friends Chris and Erin-A hazed golden ale in the glass with a bleach white cap. Nice fruity nose has stone fruit, bubblegum, yeast, some hay, and candy. Tastes sweet, of fruity malts with a grassy hop profile and a signature yeast flavour profile. Sweet and tart finish with a creamy mouthfeel.A nice session Belgian Blonde from this brewer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - 341ml. Hazy golden body with an average white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with yeasty and citrusy hints. Taste is refreshing and carries some flowery and honeyish notes. Ends with a decent bittersweet finish. This reminds me La Gaillarde, which Unibroue used to brew in the mid 90’s.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle from jsprime. pours slightly hazed golden with a pure white. almost perfect but lacked a little retention and lacing was spotty. aroma of funky unibroue yeast, spices, wheat malt. the flavour is similar. decently complex and session weight so overall pretty enjoyable. id love to see this recipe fermented with a different yeast strain.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Was quite surprised to see this new one in a 12-pack and 750ml bottles at the Metro store. Had a few last night with a friend, and found it pretty good (from the bottle). Now, rating time. Pours a hazy golden colour with a big creamy white head, great retention and thick foamy lacing. The big Unibroue nose is the same as pretty much all of their brews. Spicy and yeasty. The taste shows off the grain, with a twist of lemon and the famous yeast. Mild notes of rust, here and there. Not sure why this one was made, as it is pretty close the original Blanche de Chambly. Maybe the witbier scares the mass market ??

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
341mL bottle from Brou Ha-Ha. This was actually such an interesting beer, I have no idea where the mediocre rating is coming from. Poured a hazy yellow, small white head with dark floaties. Aroma has Unibroue yeast and lemony esters. Flavour is just the oddest mixed bag of unexpected things. Spritzy citrus like a Saison, Unibroue yeasty dryness, but also the kind of spicing you would expect from Pastrami meet? Plus some actual woddy bacon meat flavour? What? Sounds bizarre, yet it all worked somehow? Really tasty, just completely bizarre and unexpected. I would definitely buy this again and I’m disappointed I didn’t get more.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is clove, spice and yeast. Taste is heavy on the clove and spice. The unibroue yeast taste comes through which ruins this beer. Expected better.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
The most disappointing Unibroue beer ever, strong taste of lemon and lavander... It must be the new japanese taste (Sapporo) behind Unibroue...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very nice. Not to be compared to a world-class Saison like Dupont’s, but to but enjoyed on a hot summer day with a fresh baby spinach salad and a light fuity vinaigrette. I had more spice in mind, but it turned out to be a very nice and clean belgian blonde ale. Bottom line : slightly herbal, Unibroue-yeasty, fresh...very nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gold, half-hazy blonde, one of the prettiest beers I ever saw actually. Extremely well-balanced aroma, even if it’s slightly weak. Floral, but non hoppy/floral. Taste is a cereal and fruits, but a bit dry. Has some elements of the traditionnal Unibroue products. This is not a saison. We’re blantantly in Wit territory with this one.
