Bottled. Not sure where to begin. I liked it, but the body was a bit thin and the ingredients a bit ew. I liked the mellow lemon, bread and wheat flavors, but they didn’t hit me hard enough. I felt cheated and raped.

Hazy golden yellow in colour with a lingering small white head, light lacing. The aroma is of grains, cereal, some light lemons, grass. The flavour is of wheat, light spice, herbs, lemons, fruity. Lightly bitter and spicy mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, spicy.

I like this better then I thought that I would. Quite refreshing.

didnt enjoy this at all, in fact this is probably the worst beer ive had from Unibroue. the only thing that was pleasant was the appearance.

(750ml bottle) Purchased at Spinnakers. Pours a huge almond-coloured head atop a partially-cloudy golden body. Usual Unibroue yeast nose. I can best describe this as La Fin du Monde-light. I actually thought the ABV was 1-1.5% higher. --- reviewed on RateBeer.com

On tap 5 oz. sample at RDF near Gallery Place in Washington, DC. Cloudy yellow with thin head and very good lacing. Aroma of wheat, citrus zest, corriander, pepper, biscuit malt and earthen yeast. Taste of white pepper, citrus, coriander and sweet biscuit malt. Light/medium body and carbonation On the mild side for a saison, but nicely refreshing and quite drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

341ml bottle. A cloudy orange body, big white fluffy head, decent retention. Sour yeasty aroma, more like a lambic than a Belgian ale. Old hops, oak barrel, watercress and lemon juice. Taste is exactly what you would expect from the nose, lemon juice, old herbal hops, Belgian yeast, biscuit malt.

Sample on tap at La Ninkasi. Pours hazy golden. Aroma: spices, citrus (orange)m belgian yeast. Taste is well blanced. Slight bitterness. Sweet finish. Medium bodied. Good refreshing beer. Kind of looks like a white beer.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria tap ($6): Pours a hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, and malty. Taste is very Unibroue. The sweet malts coupled with that particular yeast make it pretty obvious. PP advertised this as a saison, but I didn’t really get much saison in this. Overall, this was just a simple, sessionable Belgian Ale.

341ml bottle. Belgian malt and dusty yeast nose. Filtered gold colour with a moderate, quickly dissipating head. Taste is a sweet fruity malt and yeast. Light spice. No bitterness to speak of. Body and carbonation are average. Overall, a good starter Belgian ale that keeps it simple with malt and yeast, not coriander or other craziness.

If this one from any other brewery I’d be a lot more forgiving. The aroma is generic, unremarkable in every way. The beer over-all is of high quality but it lacks the charm of a typical Unibroue
