3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
When I first started this bottle I wouldn’t have expected to give it a 3.6 but the Blonde really grew on me. I’ve had the Raftman and Ephemere so this seemed to be just the "straightforward " version of those. In other words, it’s naked Unibroue, spreadlegged on the bed, for all the world to see. I wouldn’t speak that way of other brewers but as the most famous high quality Canadian brewer, they get placed under the microscope.
Blonde coloured (!) with a whitish head, the yeast gives it fantastic fruit and spice characters... Unibroue always seem a little forboding, with extra strong esters and phenols, but after the first sip or two you’re glad you started. A bit more acidic than I’d expected. Hm I think I’ll have one now.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours almost clear bright golden with a nice foamy white head, good retention. wheat, typical unibroue yeast, zesty lemon, peppery, hint of sweet malts and wheat acidity. lively, medium body, balanced by a nice grassy-citrusy finish. quenching and good.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured out a cloudy yellow gold brew with a frothy white cap that retains well. Typical uni yeast spice nose but this time there is much more sweet lemon and citrus tossed in with success. Flowery as well. So much lemon! Dry grass swaying in the wind. The taste is very similar with less lemon and more pepper but even the pepper is not big. The malts are pretty big though. Drying all the way, the pepper is stronger early but thankfully gives way to gentle malts all the while battling the fringes of bitterness. Wheaty in a different way. Borderline foamy feel. For me this is more similar to a spicy hoegaarden. Aproximately. Shut up.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
341ml bottle. Slightly hazy, copper-gold with foamy brownish-yellow head. The yeast aroma you expect from this brewer -- also bready/biscuity with some lemon, orange zest and spices. Not too sweet, maltier than most other Unibroue offerings, has a dry champagne-like finish. Light-bodied, medium carbonation. Smooth, maybe a bit boring.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Not sure where to begin. I liked it, but the body was a bit thin and the ingredients a bit ew. I liked the mellow lemon, bread and wheat flavors, but they didn’t hit me hard enough. I felt cheated and raped.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy golden yellow in colour with a lingering small white head, light lacing. The aroma is of grains, cereal, some light lemons, grass. The flavour is of wheat, light spice, herbs, lemons, fruity. Lightly bitter and spicy mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, spicy.
I like this better then I thought that I would. Quite refreshing.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
didnt enjoy this at all, in fact this is probably the worst beer ive had from Unibroue. the only thing that was pleasant was the appearance.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(750ml bottle) Purchased at Spinnakers. Pours a huge almond-coloured head atop a partially-cloudy golden body. Usual Unibroue yeast nose. I can best describe this as La Fin du Monde-light. I actually thought the ABV was 1-1.5% higher.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
341ml bottle. A cloudy orange body, big white fluffy head, decent retention. Sour yeasty aroma, more like a lambic than a Belgian ale. Old hops, oak barrel, watercress and lemon juice. Taste is exactly what you would expect from the nose, lemon juice, old herbal hops, Belgian yeast, biscuit malt.
