radiomgb (1711), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 24, 2007 Dark brown in colour, thin fizzy beige coloured head, some light lacing. The aroma is of apples, light malt and not the usual Unibroue yeast that you come to expect in their beers. The flavour is quite watery and very lifeless, no yeast flavours which is a major disappointment, very light spice. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, light body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes quite light and very boring. This is nowhere near what you would expect from a brewery such as Unibroue. This is a very sad beer from start to finish.

muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA May 23, 2007 750 ml bottle a bit below cellar temperature, Unibroue glass (of course), March 2007. Fizzy dark tan head is quickly depleted atop the murky dark reddish-brown liquid…..faint raspberry-cherry notes and soft cocoa in the nose…..utterly bland, highly and seemingly artificially carbonated, a bit like a shot of YooHoo mixed in with Sprite and a bit of fruit juice, not really any beerlike qualities at all, dry and thin and a bit brackish/chalky to finish, near-repellant and perhaps a new low for this once-great brewer. mds (2111), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 12, 2007 Bottle. Pours a muddy brown coloured body with a white-yellow small head. The aroma is toasty and yeasty. Over-carbonated body with metallic and rubbery flavours. beerbuzzmontreal (2674), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Sep 1, 2006 As soon as I popped the cork the bottle had a mild gush. The pour reveals a dark, opaque brown color with a thick, diminishing, bubbly light brown head. The aroma has some roastyness and something burnt and sweet. The flavor is really bad, cardboard and rubber hmmmmm. The body is really light and the texture is boring. What did the Carnaval de Québec do to deserve a beer like this ? CapFlu (3247), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Jul 6, 2006 (750ml bottle) I have seemingly found a "good" bottle? (Thanks Luc!) Pours a medium, foamy light brown head with a Trois Pistoles colour. Nose is very yeasty, coffee and even beef jerky with a lemon-citrus twist. Flavour is thin and watery. Mild plum, malt and a coffee tonic elixir. What happened here?
