Commercial Description:
Chambly Noire is a smooth and creamy dark beer with a beige and persistent head. Its torrefaction aromas and slight bitterness enable it to perfectly accompany various fish dishes, strong cheeses and chocolate desserts.

Bottle. Amber with a small head. Metallic nose with some grasses, fruitiness, and various malts. Metallic, coppery, almost a bloodlike flavor (not really blood, but that twang).

Bottle. Clear dark brownish colour with a medium, mostly diminishing head. Aroma and taste of malts, nuts and dark fruits. A bit over carbonated.

This one has a bright apple/cranberry aroma that I could smell the second I opened the bottle. Very dark, almost black with a thick tan head. The head dissipated quickly and left no lacing at all. I sat smelling my glass for a while, because the smell is so completely unexpected. Not what you would expect from such a dark looking beer. The flavor is a bit weak, and almost watery. I can taste caramel and malt, with some apple coming through in the finish. It’s a bit too highly carbonated. Not one of the great beers, but certainly unusual. And all things considered, it’s not bad.

Appearance: Deep dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of nuts and malt with a hint of hops. Flavour: High carbonation in the mouthfeel, malt, smoke and burnt fries flavour, not bad but not excellent

Bottle. Not sure of vintage, but expiration date reads about 20 days ago. Nose is spicy with lots of bright fruits, strawberries and grapes, and a mild sourness that works quite well. Amber-brown with darker hues, thin but steady off-white head. Dominated by a vague sourness, enjoyable if uncomplex. Pretty nice mouthfeel, slick and drinkable. Not particularly interesting but not as boring as a number of Unibrou offerings.
