| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2008 Bottle. Clear dark brownish colour with a medium, mostly diminishing head. Aroma and taste of malts, nuts and dark fruits. A bit over carbonated. Aquilo (285), California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2008 This one has a bright apple/cranberry aroma that I could smell the second I opened the bottle. Very dark, almost black with a thick tan head. The head dissipated quickly and left no lacing at all. I sat smelling my glass for a while, because the smell is so completely unexpected. Not what you would expect from such a dark looking beer. The flavor is a bit weak, and almost watery. I can taste caramel and malt, with some apple coming through in the finish. It’s a bit too highly carbonated. Not one of the great beers, but certainly unusual. And all things considered, it’s not bad. garthicus (1354), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 22, 2008 Bottle. Not sure of vintage, but expiration date reads about 20 days ago. Nose is spicy with lots of bright fruits, strawberries and grapes, and a mild sourness that works quite well. Amber-brown with darker hues, thin but steady off-white head. Dominated by a vague sourness, enjoyable if uncomplex. Pretty nice mouthfeel, slick and drinkable. Not particularly interesting but not as boring as a number of Unibrou offerings.
