Palate: Medium body, very soft carbonation.
Flav.: Starts with plenty of yeast and dough, some sweet malty notes, lightly funky; more nutty, medium roasted malts on swallowing.
Light, clean and refreshing...interesting given the colour. keepersj12 (825), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

Vinuous nose with licorice, cherries, and spice. Flat mouthfeel. Fruity, sweet, and spicy. Lots of grapes. It just felt as if somehting was missing. Maria (6345), Thisted, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Black/brown with a tan head. The aroma is spicy with notes of yeast and licorice. The flavour is sweetish, almost wheat like, spicy with notes of caramel, a bit of yeast and coriander and I sense the alcohol. It’s not nearly as powerful as I hoped it would be... 1870 LooseCannon (938), Norfolk, Virginia, USA
