Commercial Description:
Chambly Noire is a smooth and creamy dark beer with a beige and persistent head. Its torrefaction aromas and slight bitterness enable it to perfectly accompany various fish dishes, strong cheeses and chocolate desserts.

Pours a thin black, with a very nice/persistent beige head. The aroma is pleasantly sweet, with some mild berry fruit notes. The flavor is excellent - lots of blueberry sweetness coupled with a very mild, dry bitterness in the finish. Very nicely carbonated, the mouthfeel is quite smooth and creamy, yet pleasantly prickly. I really like this beer, definitely underrated in my opinion.

Pours dark brown with tan head. Fruity, yeasty Unibroue aroma. Sweet dark fruit flavor with Belgian yeast. Medium body with lively carbonatoin and a creamy mouthfeel. I really enjoy many of their other beers, but this was a bit of a letdown.

Belgian darkness gives way at some point in the drinking to a bit of cola. Some Unibroue beers do this. Quality control? At times. The brewery hovers between brilliance and "just ok." Here, we are closer to just ok.

Pours black, small head. Alcoholic sweet yeast aroma. Taste is full, good, and strong ale malt. Mouthfeel is a little sweet, thick and sugary, and a little fizzy.

Bottle courtesy Maltajo and shared with Lee. Pours a muddy brown with a small tight tan head. Slightly sour apple, smoky aroma. Smooth malt taste with hints of sugar and smoke. Very tasty, but a little on the strange side.
